Mr. President - Do what you must

Frist: No More Bolton Votes in Senate

The MSM has you believing that Frist has thrown in the towel on Bolton - not so fast! It may be Frist setting the table for a recess appointment. Nonetheless I say, screw Reid and the rest of the obstructionist. Let us not forget that the Nuclear Option is still an option. As far as I'm concerned the Dems have nixed the 'agreement', so the deal is off.

As I've said before, the Democrats aren't going to budge on Bolton, even if they got all the documents on the world on him. They simply aren't going to let a up and down vote take place. They have made this the "last stand" daring the President to make a recess appointment.

Senator Reid: "The president will have to make a decision whether he wants to send this flawed candidate to the United Nations under an also questionable constitutional measure, which is being tested in the courts as we speak."

Mr. Reid - the only question is how you ever got out of the first grade and into the Senate in the first place. Shall we review:

"He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session."

Article 2: Section 2 of the US Constitution.

Make no mistake, this is a defining moment in the Bush Presidency. I hope and pray that the President does what it is constitutional duty and make a recess appointment on Bolton as soon as Harry and the crowd go off to Vegas.
