Obama Kneecaps Biden. Admits he's a Screwup

Was waiting for this.

"Despite the best-friend bond Joe Biden touts with former former President Obama, tensions have lingered between the two statesmen over their vastly different governing styles, according to a Politico report.

To start, a number of anonymously sourced quotes from Obama leaked out throughout the 2020 Biden campaign where the former president allegedly expressed doubts about his former running mates’ fitness for office.

“Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f--k things up,” one Democrat who spoke to the former president recalled him saying.

When lamenting his own diminishing relationship with the current Democratic electorate, particularly in Iowa, Obama reportedly told one 2020 candidate: “And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden.”

Some Biden aides pointed out that, when Obama’s endorsement of Biden in 2020 finally did arrive, it didn’t have nearly the energy of his endorsement of Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“I don’t think there’s ever been someone so qualified to hold this office,” Obama said of Clinton in 2016 in an endorsement video. “I believe Joe has all of the qualities we need in a president right now … and I know he will surround himself with good people,” Obama said in Biden’s endorsement video.

And while some senior Democrats credited Biden’s ties to Obama for his strong relationship with Black voters, Biden has emphasized that he earned their votes all on his own. He told aides after his South Carolina primary win Obama hadn’t “lifted a finger” to help him."

Obama picked Biden to get the white vote in 2008, nothing more.  But it soon became clear that Biden was a fuck up who told so many falsehoods over the years, basically rending him incapable of truly running for President on his own.

Just How "Scandal Free" was Obama's Eight Years in Office

I love it when liberals try to present Obama's time in office as "scandal free". Progressives firmly believe that if you repeat something long enough and over and over it's somehow true. But does that claim hold up to scrutiny?

Well, let's review it. Via the Boston Globe:

"Operation Fast and Furious. In a botched “gunwalking” sting, the Justice Department allowed thousands of guns to be sold to suspected smugglers, in the hope of tracing them to Mexican drug cartels. But the Obama administration lost track of the weapons, many of which later turned up at crime scenes in which scores of people were murdered. Among the dead: US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, killed by drug gangsters in 2010. Compounding the scandal was Attorney General Eric Holder’s refusal to turn over documents relating to the operation, a refusal for which he was held in contempt of Congress."

Benghazi. When Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others were killed in a terrorist attack on the US consulate in Libya in 2012, administration officials falsely blamed their deaths on an irrelevant YouTube video. That wasn’t fog of war, it was deceit. In public statements, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attributed the attack to “inflammatory material posted on the Internet.” But in private e-mails to her daughter and the Egyptian prime minister — e-mails not discovered until 2015 — she candidly acknowledged that the Americans had been assaulted and killed by “an al Qaeda-like group.

Veterans Administration. On Obama’s watch, tens of thousands of veterans were denied proper health care at VA hospitals. Their names were added to phony waiting lists and they were stonewalled for months or even years. More than 300,000 veterans may have died awaiting medical treatment that never came. According to the Veterans Affairs inspector general, thousands of veterans’ health care enrollment applications were deleted or buried. Eventually, VA Secretary Eric Shinseki resigned in disgrace."

Numerous other scandals plagued the Obama administration.

The IRS discriminated against politically conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status, placing organizations on indefinite hold if their names contained such terms as “Tea Party” or “Patriots.”

The Office of Personnel Management suffered a catastrophic data breach that exposed the confidential records of at least 10 million federal employees to hackers. OPM’s director had repeatedly been warned that the agency was vulnerable to cyberattack, but had failed to take the warnings seriously.

The Obama administration, eager to promote “green” energy, lavished more than $500 million in loan guarantees on Solyndra, a high-risk startup. When the company went bankrupt, taxpayers ate the loss.

From letting Hezbollah funnel cocaine into the United States to secretly wiretapping AP reporters, there were scandals aplenty when Obama was president. The media reported them all, but never with the fury and frenzy that characterize coverage of Donald Trump’s schedule. Obama benefited from being a media darling."
Even after his time new scandals have come to light such as the growing story of how Obama reportedly used the DOJ and the FBI to investigate a Presidential candidate, and while still in an ongoing investigation it's veracity becomes even clearer each day.

Obama's former wiretapping of Journalist was just the Beginning of things to Come?

Gateway Pundit has more on this, but in the field of intelligence, if a well stinks, it always stinks. In 2013 Obama used his power to go after journalist who he thought threatened his agenda. If he did it then, then odds on he could do it now.

In 1974 Nixon resigned for for just a small part of what Obama is being accused of, which is why Congress is involved, and why after the investigation a Special Prosecutor should be appointed.

From GP:

"In addition to the coming investigation by congress, we also know now that Obama in the past also wire tapped various individuals in the US media that were reporting information not flattering to the Obama Administration. It is widely known, and proven that Obama’s Justice Department targeted journalists with wiretaps in 2013:

* In 2013 the liberal Washington Post expressed outrage after the revelation that the Justice Department had investigated the newsgathering activities of a Fox News reporter as a potential crime in a probe of classified leaks. The reporter, Fox News’ James Rosen and his family, were part of an investigation into government officials anonymously leaking information to journalists. Rosen was not charged but his movements and actions were tracked.

* Also in 2013, members of the Associated Press were also a target of the surveillance. The ultra liberal New Yorker even noted that “In moderate and liberal circles, at least, the phone-records scandal, partly because it involves the dear old A.P. and partly because it raises anew the specter of Big Brother, may well present the most serious threat to Obama’s reputation.”

* Reporter Sharyl Attkisson said in 2014 that her personal computer and CBS laptop were hacked after she began filing stories about Benghazi that were unflattering to the Obama administration. A source who checked her laptop said the hacker used spyware “proprietary to a government agency,” according to an article in the New York Post."

If it walks like a duck....

Comey channels CNN, asks the DOJ to squash Obama Tapping Charge?

Like what the? ....Does Comey work for CNN?  Of course is one of the Times "confidential American senior officials, and the FBI hasn't confirmed it yet, so..thus...made up?

WASHINGTON — The F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, asked the Justice Department this weekend to publicly reject President Trump’s assertion that President Barack Obama ordered the tapping of Mr. Trump’s phones, senior American officials said on Sunday. Mr. Comey has argued that the highly charged claim is false and must be corrected, they said, but the department has not released any such statement.

Mr. Comey, who made the request on Saturday after Mr. Trump leveled his allegation on Twitter, has been working to get the Justice Department to knock down the claim because it falsely insinuates that the F.B.I. broke the law, the officials said.

A spokesman for the F.B.I. declined to comment. Sarah Isgur Flores, the spokeswoman for the Justice Department, also declined to comment.

Mr. Comey’s request is a remarkable rebuke of a sitting president, putting the nation’s top law enforcement official in the position of questioning Mr. Trump’s truthfulness. The confrontation between the two is the most serious consequence of Mr. Trump’s weekend Twitter outburst, and it underscores the dangers of what the president and his aides have unleashed by accusing the former president of a conspiracy to undermine Mr. Trump’s young administration.

Ok, let's play the game.  So since then when does an FBI director ask the DOJ to squash an now what will be an investigation? Note that Comey asked this of the DOJ, AFTER Congress said it would look into it.  If Comey proved anything over last years election season is that he's a political animal, and so knows how to muck things up.  How does he know it's false without investigating.

But I think there is more to this then meets the eye. If this move is "unprecedented" as the Times says, meaning it's never been done before, you have to ask, what is Comey's involvement - if any - in the wiretapping, from the "what does he know that may implicate him?" department.

Whether or not the DOJ rejects the claim, an congressional investigation will move forward, so sooner or later we find out.

Valerie Jarrett Key Player in Fast and Furious Cover-Up After Holder Lied to Congress

If you need a refresher, Fast and Furious is a US lead gun operation that lost track of 1000s of weapons that fell in to drug runners hands one of which was used to murder agent Brian Terry, and several other agents over the years. What was missing was a key principle in the operation, now through Judicial Watch we know who that is.

Via Judicial Watch:

President Obama’s trusted senior adviser, Valerie Jarrett, was a key player in the effort to cover up that Attorney General Eric Holder lied to Congress about the Fast and Furious scandal, according to public records obtained by Judicial Watch.
The information is part of a Department of Justice (DOJ) “Vaughn index” detailing records about the gun-running operation known as Fast and Furious. JW had to sue the agency for the records after the Obama administration failed to provide them under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). A federal court ordered the DOJ to provide the records over the agency’s objections.

Yesterday JW reported on the broad information in the records, including that Obama asserted executive privilege for Holder’s wife as part of the administration’s efforts to cover up the scandal.

Practically lost in the 1,000-plus pages of records is an index that shows Jarrett was brought in to manage the fact that Holder lied to Congress after the story about the disastrous gun-running operation broke in the media. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) ran the once-secret program that allowed guns from the U.S. to be smuggled into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels. Instead, federal law enforcement officers lost track of hundreds of weapons which have been used in an unknown number of crimes, including the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Arizona.

The files received by JW include three electronic mails between Holder and Jarrett and one from former U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke to Jarrett. The e-mails with Holder are all from October 4, 2011, a significant date because, on the evening of October 3rd, Sheryl Attkisson (then at CBS news) released documents showing that Holder had been sent a briefing paper on Operation Fast and Furious on June 5, 2010. The paper was from the director of the National Drug Intelligence Center, Michael Walther.

This directly contradicted Holder’s May 3, 2011 testimony to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, during which he stated that he, “probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.” The October 4, 2011 date may also be significant because it came shortly after the August 30, 2011 resignation of U.S. Attorney for Arizona Dennis Burke and reassignment of acting ATF director Kenneth Melson to the position of “senior forensics advisor” at DOJ.

The description of one of the e-mails, written from Jarrett to Holder, reads, “re: personnel issues.” Another, also from Jarrett, reads, “outlining and discussing preferred course of action for future responses in light of recent development in congressional investigation.” Unfortunately, the index is vague and that’s all the information we have about them. Nevertheless, given the timing and subject of these e-mails, it seems clear that Jarrett quickly became a key player in the Fast and Furious cover-up in the immediate aftermath of the revelation that Holder had lied to Congress.

Guess What? Obama IS Marion Barry without the Crack

It's a foregone conclusion that Barack Obama isn't the genius that even his most ardent admirers thought he was. ABC News reports that their recent poll now has him at 50%, matching other recent polling, which only shows that much of America is realizing it as well. The other night on 60 minutes Obama gave himself a "B+" which means that along with being unpopular he's delusional as well.

Nutroot Jane Hamsher Tries to Knee Block Lieberman's Wife

Politics is one thing, but this is shameful.

"Washington (CNN) - Sen. Joe Lieberman – whose opposition to a public insurance option has drawn outrage from liberal groups for months – is used to finding himself in progressive crosshairs. Now it's his wife's turn. Activists are setting their sights on Hadassah Lieberman, launching a celebrity-studded petition drive to convince the nation's largest breast cancer non-profit to end the Connecticut senator's wife role as a spokeswoman.
The move to pressure the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation came the same day Lieberman's husband angered Democrats by announcing that he would not support an expansion of Medicare to cover individuals under the age of 55. Organizers did not point to that decision, instead citing Hadassah Lieberman's own ties to the health care industry. Lieberman has worked as a consultant for companies including Pfizer and ALCO. "
We are asking Ellen DeGeneres, Christie Brinkley and other high-profile celebrities who are associated with Komen to demand that no more money raised for cancer treatment be given to Hadassah Lieberman or any other ex-Pharma/Insurance strategists," said Jane Hamsher, founder of the Firedoglake blog."

Of course Hamsher is a known anti-semetic, with more than several shots at Jews including Lieberman. By the way, just who is Hadassah Lieberman?
"She is the daughter of Rabbi Samuel Freilich, a Holocaust survivor from Munkács, Carpathian Ruthenia (now Mukachevo, part of Ukraine and predecessor Ukrainian SSR since 1945, 1939-45 by Hungary of Axis powers), who died in 1993, and Ella Wieder Freilich, also a Holocaust survivor who died on August 6, 2004."
As a cancer survivor along with my wife we owe nothing but gratitude to Mrs. Lieberman and many like her.

As I said, shameful.

UPDATE:

CNN has received the following statement from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation:
Hadassah Lieberman is an important and valued Global Ambassador for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. As a Global Ambassador, Ms. Lieberman is focused on helping us reach out and educate women outside our borders about breast cancer, sharing our knowledge and experience in a culturally sensitive way that is making a real impact on the lives of women across the globe. We have every intention of continuing our relationship with Ms. Lieberman in our mutual pursuit of a world without breast cancer.

By the way, please donate to the Komen Foundation here.

Blago's Lawyer Seek FBI Interview with Obama

Guess what Rahm, he's back!
"Rod Blagojevich's lawyers want the FBI to give up details of interviews conducted last year of President Obama, his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, White House adviser Valerie Jarrett and others as part of the investigation into the former governor.
In a Friday filing, Blagojevich attorneys also asked for information regarding first lady Michelle Obama. However, a source said late Friday that the FBI never interviewed the first lady. Then-President-elect Obama, Emanuel and Jarrett sat down with the FBI about a year ago -- just after Blagojevich was arrested on charges of trying to sell Obama's recently vacated Senate seat to the highest bidder.
Obama revealed he was interviewed in a report he made public last December. The defense request, filed in federal court, asks for "notes, transcripts and reports" of interviews with the Obamas, Emanuel, Jarrett and union chiefs Thomas Balanoff and Andy Stern. The request was part of a larger bid by defense lawyers to have prosecutors turn over additional materials, including witness statements, six months before the June trial date. Typically, prosecutors give the defense such information 30 days before the trial."
Regardless if anything is discovered through this Obama can ill afford the negative attention. Just a hint of corruption can tank his already tanking numbers further. Even more if the discovery, discovers something.

Barack Obama's Incredibly Inaccurate and Self Absorbed Speech

I really wanted to give President Obama the benefit of the doubt during his acceptance speech for the Nobel Peace Prize. I tried, I really did.

But in a rambling diatribe which used the "I" word more times than I've heard in any recent speech, he got facts wrong, and spun current history to suit himself.

As I'm let to the game having been on the road most of the day I've clipped a few of my more favorite clips from around the web.

 Rush Limbaugh:

"OBAMA: Ronald Reagan's efforts on arms control and embrace of perestroika not only improved relations with the Soviet Union, but empowered dissidents throughout eastern Europe.
RUSH: What the hell is he talking? "Improved relations" with the Soviet Union? It was Reagan who refused to talk to Soviet leaders because they kept dying on him! Embraced perestroika? Does anybody really know what perestroika is? I got it from Gorbachev's own damn book. By perestroika, Gorbachev meant retrenchment of Leninism. He was trying to save communism while it was falling apart. He was trying to do things that were incompatible. He was trying to -- first place, he didn't have the economy to keep up with us on this Strategic Defense Initiative; they just couldn't keep up with us. They were a Third World country with a first-rate military. They had no food in the stores. They had a typical communist country. They had to build walls to keep people in their countries. But, you know, blue jeans showed up over there then copies of the TV show Dallas, and the Russian people began to see an America unlike that which they were told about. They were constantly lied about what life was like here. And then they loved blue jeans, they saw Dallas, and somebody snuck pirated copies of Dynasty in there, and that's all she wrote.

 David Frum:

"First Obama tells us how humble he is. Then he tells us that he is bending history in the direction of justice – a phrase that associates himself with Martin Luther King. Charming. But it gets worse. The slightness of Obama’s achievements is (the president says) only a partial and lesser reason for the controversy over the prize. The “most profound” reason that the award has been so disparaged is … George W. Bush! Yes, Obama’s prize is controversial because the country is fighting two wars, one of which it did not seek – but the other of which we apparently did seek. Or rather – that George W. Bush sought. While the one war is an effort of self-defense , the other is … not."

EPA's Power Grab of Economy will Lead to Revolution

Make no mistake, this move of the Obama Regime is a direct result of the exposure of Climategate. Since Crap and Trade is effectually dead in the water, the Obama regime will now force it's will on greenhouse gases.
"WASHINGTON - The Environmental Protection Agencytook a major step Monday toward regulating greenhouses gases, concluding that climate changing pollution threatens the public health and the environment. The announcement came as the Obama administration looked to boost its arguments at an international climate conference that the United States is aggressively taking actions to combat global warming, even though Congress has yet to act on climate legislation. The conference opened Monday in Copenhagen.
The EPA said that the scientific evidence surrounding climate change clearly shows that greenhouse gases "threaten the public health and welfare of the American people" and that the pollutants — mainly carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels — should be regulated under the Clean Air Act. "These long-overdue findings cement 2009's place in history as the year when the United States government began addressing the challenge of greenhouse-gas pollution," said EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson at news conference.
The action by the EPA, which has been anticipated for months, clearly was timed to add to the momentum toward some sort of agreement on climate change at the Copenhagen conference and try to push Congress to approve climate legislation."
What this will mean of course is higher prices for fuel, plastics, and just about a 1000 other things you and I consume everyday.   Of course much of the "evidence" cited by the EPA come from the now discredited data from East Anglia.

Get ready to riot in the streets, it's long overdue.

The Public Option is Dead

Barack Obama headed for a closed door meeting with Democrats on the Hill today.  It wasn't what he said that was important, it's what he didn't.

"As President Obama finished his speech to the Democratic caucus in the Capitol's Mansfield Room on Sunday afternoon, Joe Lieberman made his way over to Harry Reid. The independent who still caucuses with Democrats wanted to point something out to the Majority Leader: Obama didn't mention the public option.
Lieberman was beaming as he left the room and happy to re-point it out when HuffPost asked him what Obama had said about the public health insurance option, perhaps the most contentious issue still facing Democrats as they negotiate their way toward a final health care reform bill. "Well, it was interesting to me -- of course everybody hears with their own ears -- that he didn't say anything about the public option," said Lieberman.
"In other words, when he outlined how far we've come on the bill, he talked about the cost-containment provisions; he talked about the insurance market reforms; and he talked about enabling 30 million more people to get insurance.
He said these are historic accomplishments, the most significant social legislation, or whatever you call it, in decades, so don't lose it." Obama spoke for roughly 30 minutes and did not take questions, senators said afterward."

Obama didn't speak about the public option simply because it's dead.  There simply isn't enough support for it.   What you were watching today was a salvage mission, not a pep rally.

A Stumbling Bumbling 45 Minutes of Nothing - Obama's Plan for Afghanistan, or Not

We waited for this? First, let's start with the lying.
"Now, let me be clear: There has never been an option before me that called for troop deployments before 2010, so there has been no delay or denial of resources necessary for the conduct of the war during this review period. Instead, the review has allowed me to ask the hard questions and to explore all the different options, along with my national security team, our military, and civilian leadership in Afghanistan, and our key partners. And given the stakes involved, I owed the American people and our troops no less. This review is now complete. And as commander-in-chief, I have determined that it is in our vital national interest to send an additional 30,000 U.S. troops to Afghanistan."
Let's review: General McChrystal said,
“Failure to gain the initiative and reverse insurgent momentum in the near term — while Afghan security capacity matures — risks an outcome where defeating the insurgency is no longer possible,”
There is an obvious immediacy there and if Obama had spent five minutes in the military he would have known it meant sooner than later.

Delay is deadly in war and whether he and his people want to believe they didn't "delay" or "deny" help to our forces in Afghanistan, it's exactly what they did.

Given the plan he outlined, or rather lack of, it now seemed totally unnecessary.   As to that plan - what little there is, it seemed as disjointed and as teleprompted/packaged as most of his speeches.  It said all the words, but carried none of the passion fitting of a Commander in Chief.   You could tell his heart wasn't in it and by the looks of the cadets they knew it too.

If you can't win the hearts and minds of our future leaders you're lost before you get started on the quest. It was quite telling.

On that point, note the way Chris ("Is telephoning Al Qaeda a crime?") Matthews, calls the venue for the speech - West Point - "Enemy Camp", and too notes the lack of leg tingles.

Obama Considers Civil War? Orders 1 Million Troops to Prepare?

Wow!
"Russian Military Analysts are reporting to Prime Minister Putin that US President Barack Obama has issued orders to his Northern Command’s (USNORTHCOM) top leader, US Air Force General Gene Renuart, to “begin immediately” increasing his military forces to 1 million troops by January 30, 2010, in what these reports warn is an expected outbreak of civil war within the United States before the end of winter.
According to these reports, Obama has had over these past weeks “numerous” meetings with his war council about how best to manage the expected implosion of his Nations banking system while at the same time attempting to keep the United States military hegemony over the World in what Russian Military Analysts state is a “last ditch gambit” whose success is “far from certain”.

Have no idea how accurate this is, but it's sure to fire up speculation over the coming days.

Iran Plans 10 More Uranium Plants

Via Fox.

"TEHRAN, Iran — The Iranian government approved a plan Sunday to build 10 new uranium enrichment facilities, a dramatic expansion in defiance of U.N. demands it halt the program.
The decision comes only two days after the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency censured Iran, demanding it immediately stop building a newly revealed enrichment facility near the holy city of Qom and freeze all uranium enrichment activities.
A Cabinet meeting headed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ordered the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran to begin building five uranium enrichment sites that have already been studied and propose five other locations for future construction within two months.
In Vienna, spokeswoman Gillian Tudor said the U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency would have no comment. But the announcement is likely to stoke already high tensions between Iran and the West over its controversial nuclear activities.
Iran has one industrial-scale uranium enrichment plant near Natanz, in central Iran. The IAEA said earlier this month that about 8,600 centrifuges had been set up in Natanz, but only about 4,000 were enriching uranium. The facility will eventually house 54,000 centrifuges.
The newly revealed enrichment site, known as Fordo, is a small scale site that will house nearly 3,000 centrifuges. IRNA said the Cabinet ordered that the 10 new sites have a scale equal to Natanz's. In the enrichment process, uranium gas is spun in centrifuges to purify it. Enriched to a low degree, the result is fuel for a nuclear reactor — but highly enriched uranium can be used to build a warhead.
The United States and its allies accuse Iran of secretly seeking to develop a bomb, a claim denied by Iran, which says it seeks only to generate electricity."

Well now.  Just this week Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh welcomed Obama's efforts to engage Iran without preconditions.  He had hoped that Obama's stance would end Iran's quest for nuclear enrichment.    This would appear to be yet another monumental failure of Obama's foreign policy initiative.

Oh well.

After Twiddling His Thumbs for 10 Months - Obama Makes a Decision on Afghanistan

Well what do you know, the commander and delay has made a decision which has been a no-brainer all along.
"WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama met Monday evening with his national security team to finalize a plan to dispatch some 34,000 additional U.S. troops over the next year to what he's called "a war of necessity" in Afghanistan, U.S. officials told McClatchy.
Obama is expected to announce his long-awaited decision on Dec. 1, followed by meetings on Capitol Hill aimed at winning congressional support amid opposition by some Democrats who are worried about the strain on the U.S. Treasury and whether Afghanistan has become a quagmire, the officials said.
The U.S. officials all spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to discuss the issue publicly and because, one official said, the White House is incensed by leaks on its Afghanistan policy that didn't originate in the White House.
They said the commander of the U.S.-led international force in Afghanistan, Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, could arrive in Washington as early as Sunday to participate in the rollout of the new plan, including testifying before Congress toward the end of next week. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Adm. Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry also are expected to appear before congressional committees.
As it now stands, the plan calls for the deployment over a nine-month period beginning in March of three Army brigades from the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky., and the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y., and a Marine brigade from Camp Lejeune, N.C., for as many as 23,000 additional combat and support troops."

This of course is less than what commanders on the ground wanted and what McChrystal asked for. While it's welcome and about time, one would think why take all the time to arrive at the obvious conclusion? Witness this:

"The administration's plan contains "off-ramps," points starting next June at which Obama could decide to continue the flow of troops, halt the deployments and adopt a more limited strategy or "begin looking very quickly at exiting" the country, depending on political and military progress, one defense official said. "We have to start showing progress within six months on the political side or military side or that's it," the U.S. defense official said. It's "not just how we get people there, but what's the strategy for getting them out," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday."
Six months is hardly enough and Obama knows it. He's trying to walk the line of "war hawk" and "dove" and yet not get any bird poop on him.

Special Prosecutor Needed for Americorps Firing

Byron York who has done the job the MSM won't do, on the illegal firing of Americorps IG Gerald Walpin has found.

"Just hours after Sen. Charles Grassley and Rep. Darrell Issa released a report Friday on their investigation into the abrupt firing of AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin, the Obama White House gave the lawmakers a trove of new, previously-withheld documents on the affair.
It was a twist on the now-familiar White House late-Friday release of bad news; this time, the new evidence was put out not only at the start of a weekend but also hours too late for inclusion in the report. The new documents support the Republican investigators' conclusion that the White House's explanation for Walpin's dismissal -- that it came after the board of the Corporation for National and Community Service, which oversees AmeriCorps, unanimously decided that Walpin must go -- was in fact a public story cobbled together after Walpin was fired, not before.
Walpin was axed on the evening of June 10, when he received a call from Norman Eisen, the special counsel to the president for ethics and government reform, who told Walpin he had one hour either to resign or be fired.
The next day, congressional Republicans, led by Grassley, objected, charging that Walpin's dismissal violated a recently-passed law requiring the president to give Congress 30 days' notice before dismissing an inspector general.
Pressed for the reason Walpin was fired, Eisen told House and Senate aides that the White House conducted an "extensive review" of complaints about Walpin’s performance before deciding to dismiss him. According to the new report, Eisen told Congress that "his investigation into the merits of removing Gerald Walpin involved contacting members of the Corporation for National and Community Service [CNCS] board to confirm the existence of a 'consensus' in favor of removal."
But Republican investigators later discovered that during that "extensive review," the White House did not even seek the views of the corporation's board -- the very people whose "consensus" purportedly led to Walpin's firing."

This firing was in fact illegal and should be followed up with and properly investigated.   While Grassley has investigated this and gotten to the truth, I've contacted ranking member of the SJC, Senator Jeff Sessions to call for hearing and a Special Prosecutor to explore criminal intent.

Contact Senator Sessions here.

Good News We're Defeating Obamacare

Just in case you might miss it, we're winning the fight against Obamacare, against socialism.  Can you smell it?   It's the smell of victory.

They recognize it too.   Howard (The Scream) Dean:
"One of the leading progressive champions of health care reform is pessimistic about the state of the debate in the Senate, saying he sees virtually no path to passing strong legislation and predicting potential congressional losses for Democrats as a consequence.
Former DNC Chair Howard Dean told the Huffington Post on Monday that Senate Democratic leadership was "in deep trouble" on health care, even after Majority Leader Harry Reid cobbled together over the weekend the 60 votes needed to get legislation to the floor. The problem was as much about politics as policy.
"I think if you passed the Senate bill tomorrow it would be OK. But then the problem is they don't have any defense for their members in 2010," Dean said, noting that the public option would not become operational until 2014. "On the other hand, if they drop the public option [to placate moderate members], I think they lose seats." "So this is really tough. I didn't anticipate being in this position. I thought it would pass.
Maybe Harry has some magic up his sleeve. But I don't see how he gets those four votes [Sens. Joseph Lieberman (Conn.), Mary Landrieu (La.), Blanche Lincoln (Ark.) and Ben Nelson (Neb.)] without compromising the bill," Dean concluded."
Translation? We won folks.   We can say it, we won the battle to stop Obamacare from passing.

There is no way that a public option - first step to socialization of medicine - is happening in America any time soon, and that's GOOD NEWS. Thanks the thousands of Americans who stood up to the socialists who have invaded our government and said, not "No", but "Hell No!".

Oh sure they'll get something through, next year and it will be "reform", but it won't contain a public option or taxpayer funded abortion, both are effectually dead in the water.    What will pass will been nothing in comparison to what was proposed and that's a win for us, a sound defeat for socialist Democrats.

No, the fight isn't completely over, we need to keep up the marches, the protests, the letters, phone calls, emails and faxes.   You don't stand over your enemy when you've vanquished him, you cut off his head to make sure he doesn't get back up.   We need to keep up the fight until every last ounce of Pelosi/Reid is out of Washington for good, and if not gone effectually neutralized.

2010 is the beginning of the end of socialist rule in our country as we begin the swing back to conservative governance.     The signs are there that we will have a very good 2010 election and gain much back of what we lost.  2012 is looking brighter everyday.  American's have realized their mistake,  the polls have shown us that.

I was right of course in saying that Barack Obama will become anathema to Democrats as his sinking poll numbers - unprecedented in history - just over one year in office will cause Dems to shrink back, fearing even being slightly influenced by his unpopularity.

By 2010 those numbers will be in the sub 30s-40s and by all accounts Obama will be as popular as Marion Barry without the crack.  He'll be alone, no one - except of course Axlerod and teleprompter.

It's good for now though to realize that Americans rose to the occasion and corrected this wrong wrought  in the fall of 2008, and by the fall of next year the correction will be completed.

Savor the moment, we're winning, and in the end we will win.

The Fight Begins

Byron York:
"The extraordinary thing about the dramatic events surrounding the health care bill in the Senate is that there was any drama at all. Lawmakers were simply voting to begin debate on the Democratic version of health care reform. Just begin debate -- not end it, and not move on to a final vote.
If Democrats, with a 60-vote majority in the Senate, had not been able to begin debate on the top Democratic policy priority in a generation -- well, that would have been a devastating turn of events, both for the party and for President Obama.
And yet just starting debate proved difficult, and only on the last day did the 60th Democratic vote fall in place in favor of beginning the process. I asked a high-ranking Republican Senate source whether it was really that hard to get the Democratic votes together.
Could it have been a media-fed story, with reporters looking to inject some unwarranted drama into the proceedings? No, I was told. "It really was that hard for them to get to 60 just to proceed," the source said.
"Very telling." And judging by the statements of four moderate Democrats -- Lieberman, Lincoln, Landrieu, and Nelson -- it will be far, far harder when the process comes to the really important vote, the one that would bring debate to a close and move on to an up-or-down vote on the Democrats' health care plan. On Saturday, all four of those Democrats publicly threatened to side with Republicans and kill the bill before it can move to a final vote, unless their concerns are met.
"If the bill remains where it is now, I will not be able to support a cloture motion before final passage," Sen. Joseph Lieberman said. "I'm prepared to vote against moving to the next stage of consideration as long as a government-run public option is included," said Sen. Blanche Lincoln.
"My vote to move forward on this important debate should in no way be construed by the supporters of this current framework as an indication of how I might vote as this debate comes to an end," said Sen. Mary Landrieu. And Sen. Ben Nelson said he will "oppose the second cloture motion -- needing 60 votes -- to end debate, and oppose the final bill" if major changes are not made."

So now the real battle begins.

As I said before Both Laudrieu and Lincoln can basically kiss their ample rear ends goodbye.

Pundits said that voting to proceed would be a "safe vote" and wouldn't hurt their political chances.  But that's nonsense.  Both are facing daunting odds in retaining their seats and both had receive the message from constituents that they were not to support this bill in any measure.

We know that Laudrieu was "paid off" and has other campaign corruption problems, and we've yet to find out what Lincoln received.  Nevertheless York is right that this vote was ridiculously weak for the Democrats, much like the squeaker in the House.

NOTHING is a done deal yet and we have a very good chance of derailing this mess before it gets any further.

But we'll have to get busy.  It's more than just emails and faxes - although that's important to.  It's about "getting in their face", and that means to get nasty.  NOTHING has ever been more important to fight about in this country.

We are witnessing the minority - that's the people who truly want government run health care - running over the majority - that's the people who don't.

We need to get that majority up and at 'em.   We need to keep this evil stalled at least through Summer of 2010.  By then the elections loom and we stand to gain 50+ seats and thus the power to finally nail the coffin on this power grab.

Senate Democrat Giveaway - Reid has his 60 Votes, Guaranteeing Democrats Loose Elections in 2010, 2012

The American public won't be bullied.

 Given that the Democrats will commit political suicide tonight by voting to continue debate on healthcare, we now look ahead to 2010 and 2012, and ram down the throats of Americans a bill they don't want and have rejected;

Given that even if Obama gets his wish at grabbing power over the nation's healthcare system, it won't go into affect until after he is politically dead and gone - 2012 by the accounting of recent poll numbers.

By the way, Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) and Sen. Blanche Lincoln, are gone. They threw their chance of remaining in office away this afternoon.

Makes no difference if they oppose the public option or not, they will simply not be reelected.

Subsequently beginning in 2010 and 2012, with the return of Congress to the GOP - yes it's going to happen - we'll then have to decide how to reverse and extinguish this mess.

But we will do it, indeed it's already being planned.

How much will get reversed? Enough to make this - if indeed it survives - one of the least potent bills in American history.

Correction the Quinnipiac Poll - NOT the First Time Obama Slipped Below 50% Approval

Errr,...

"President Barack Obama's job approval rating is 48 - 42 percent, the first time he has slipped below the 50 percent threshold nationally, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. "

 Incorrect.

Rasmussen Reports has had Obama's approval at below 50 percent on 7 different occasions during the last month or two.

Additionally  Fox News in it's October 18th poll found Obama at sub 50 percent as well.
