What Now?

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals has confirmed the "Death Sentence" on Terri Shavio - with one interesting desent:

"But Judge Charles R. Wilson said in his dissent that Schiavo's "imminent" death would end the case before it could be fully considered. "In fact, I fail to see any harm in reinserting the feeding tube," he wrote."

In other words, "What is the hurry?".

So what happens now? It doesn't look good for Terri. Yet if this does lead to her death there will no doubt be a "Wrongful Death" lawsuit filed against Michael Schiavo. This would really put the twist on things.

Civil trials have a a wider "net" for discovery. Everything will be re-exmined, including witness testimony of nurses and others who have charged Mike with abusing Terri. Based on information that might be found at a civil trial, there could be the real chance - though outside - that Michael, if he is found liable, could even be charged with Murder.

So sooner or later we are going to really know the condition of Terri Shaivo. Then we might ask why everyone was so quick to take the handicapped daughter of a Mother, and starve her to death.

In America.

May God have mercy on us all.
