The Pentagon has invited more members of Congress to visit the facility at Guantanamo to see for themselves how detainees are treated.
Chief Pentagon spokesman Lawrence Di Rita:
"11 U.S. senators, 77 members of the House of Representatives and about 100 congressional staff members already have visited Guantanamo. He said the Pentagon would facilitate more visits by lawmakers "so that they would have a much better understanding of what's happening down there."
Guess what? Of 11 U.S. senators, 77 members of the House of Representatives and about 100 congressional staff members, who's name isn't on the list to have visited Guantanomo? Yep, Senator Dick Durbin has never visited Guantanamo, neither has Senator Patrick (leaky) Leahy or Senator Barbara Boxer or any other outspoken critic of the facility.
Senator Durbin, why don't you just visit. Heck Rush Limbaugh said on his show he would pay for it!
Ignorance is bliss and as usual the critics of this administration are deliriously happy right now - to the point of insanity.
The blog Conservative Eyes has an excellent take on this point.
