Here Comes the Storm!

Rove Criticizes Liberals on 9/11

Democrats are outraged about Karl Rove's comments on their "patriotism":

"Karl Rove came to the heart of Manhattan last night to rhapsodize about the decline of liberalism in politics, saying Democrats responded weakly to Sept. 11 and had placed American troops in greater danger by criticizing their actions.

"Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 in the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers," Mr. Rove, the senior political adviser to President Bush, said at a fund-raiser in Midtown for the Conservative Party of New York State."

Pretty much a fair assessment in my opinion - What's the problem? It's not like, er, a Democratic US Senator comparing our troops to Nazi's or anything like that.

Liberals hate it when they get nailed. Has anyone forgot Nancy Pelosi's remarks on the Charlie Rose show in 2002. The website "Youngnationist.com" voted her "liberal of the month" for May 0f 2005:

" Shortly after she assumed the post of House Democratic leader in November 2002, Pelosi appeared on the Charlie Rose program and stated the only way to fight Muslim terrorism was through (yes, she really said this) "education." Senator Kerry’s proposal to fight a more “sensitive” war on terror sounds even better than that! For all of her criticism of the topple of Saddam she had this to say on Dec. 16, 1998: "Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region, and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." Like most Democrats, she says what is most convenient and will get her the most votes at any time. "

Again I ask, "What's the beef?"
