Once again Democrats stall and obstruct, and the United States is without representation at the UN. Condi Rice hinted that the President may consider a recess appointment. In light of his welcomed retoric at a Republican fundraiser last week, this is the time for President Bush to put his strong words to action.
Forget Senator Reid and his "constitutional crisis" babble. Mr. President you talked about having "political clout" and a "mandate" - then go for it. Mr. Reid has drawn the line in the sand - daring you to do it.
"The president will have to make a decision whether he wants to send this flawed candidate to the United Nations," Reid said."
The only "flaw" we have is a sore-loser, stalling, obstructing Democratic Party. They are never going to "come around". If it's not Bolton, it's something or someone else. Since they want to talk about "power", let's show it too them. They are going to see voter power in 2006 and 2008. For now the President must act and do so now.
Back home when someone draws a line in the sand and dares you - you get to stepping.
