Presidential Grand Slam

After finishing watching the President's news conference (of which I think he smacked it right out of the park), I switched over to catch MSNBC's Chris Matthews spitting (no really spitting!) commentary....

HARDBALL FLASH: Chris Matthews (breathlessly): President Bush disagrees with Dr. James Dobson on the issue of Judicial Nominees!!!

Huh? Chris, when did the President say that? I listen to the whole conference, I didn't catch that.

Here is what the President said:

"I think people are opposing my nominees because they don't like the judicial philosophy of the people I've nominated. And some would like to see judges legislate from the bench. That's not my view of the proper role of a judge.

Speaking about judges, I certainly hope my nominees get an up-or- down vote on the floor of the Senate....

They deserve an up-or-down vote. I think, for the sake of fairness, these good people I've nominated should get a vote. And I'm hoping that will be the case as time goes on.

Role of religion in our society? I view religion as a personal matter. I think a person ought to be judged on how he or she lives his life or lives her life. And that's how I've tried to live my life: through example.

Faith plays an important part in my life individually. But I don't ascribe a person's opposing my nominations to an issue of faith.

QUESTION: Do you think that's an inappropriate statement? And what I ask is...

BUSH: No, I just don't agree with it.

QUESTION: You don't agree with it?

BUSH: No. I think people oppose my nominees because of judicial philosophy.

QUESTION: Sir, I asked you about what you think of...

BUSH: No, I know what you asked me.

QUESTION: ... the way faith is being used in our political debates, not just in society generally.

BUSH: Well, I can only speak to myself. And I am mindful that people in political office should say to somebody, You're not equally American if you don't happen to agree with my view of religion. As I said, I think faith is a personal issue. And I take great strength from my faith. But I don't condemn somebody in the political process because they may not agree with me on religion.

The great thing about America is that you should be allowed to worship any way you want. And if you chose not to worship, you're equally as patriotic as somebody who does worship. And if you choose to worship, you're equally American if you're a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim.

And that's the wonderful thing about our country and that's the way it should be."

Oh, I see, it was an inference. Like it is an inference that you and your five audience members, and joke of a show is an inference reference to REAL journalism.

Whooboy....

Chris then spouted off on possible "block-buster" headlines tomorrow like, "Means Test for Social Security! It's True!" and "Bush can't do diddly-squat about fuel prices!". Yawnnn.....

On and on it goes. The MSM will not give up the fight, nor the twists, turns, misinformation, RaThEr GaTeS. I was surprised not to hear the question, "Mr. President, can you look over your Presidency and regret any mistakes you've made." I was waiting on that one. I think Bush stumped the press. He was candid, honest and laid everything right on the table. He answered every question in detail and even embarrassed those who asked the idiotic ones. Even when one of the last questions took a cheap shot at VP Cheney.

He talked about Social Security - "Folks, it's in trouble". He's talking about the problem. Only misinformed and crooked idiots deny there is a problem. He said screw the polls, he isn't working for poll numbers. He was asked about the "poison climate" in Washington. Don't ask him dumb-ass, ask Madam please, Joe Biden and the rest of the Democrats why they just can't seem to be able to do anything but find fault with the President? Why aren't they interested in getting something done?

Unlike the group above he didn't stage an event at FDR's statue and take photos. He's placed ideas (not mandates) on the table for discussion and challenged the congress to "get working on them." That's what President does. Yet what is the Democratic response. As usual, the same "Bush lies, Bush sucks, Bush is after your benefits..."

Sorry sore losers. Sorry examples of true leadership. No wonder they can't win an election - even when they cheat.

I'm getting real tired of the Democratic Party and it's constant wining about everything Bush. Here is my challenge:

"Hey Harry Reid, Scar-Face Pelosi, Barbara Boxer....got any ideas of your own. Even one? Something? Anything?"

.....Naw didn't think so.

Naw, no bias here.....

House passes limit on abortion for minors

Note the first paragraph from the Associated Press regarding the US House passing a bill that makes it illegal for minors to cross state lines for abortions.

"The House passed a bill Wednesday that would make it illegal to dodge parental-consent laws by taking minors across state lines for abortions, the latest effort to chip away at abortion rights after Republican gains in the November elections."

Somebody at A.P. got an axe to grind?

Road-Kill-Randy Rhodes - Screws up again when she AGAIN hosted yet another lame skit on her radio show on Air Amerika. The skit had sounds of a gun cocking and firing - supposedly towards President Bush. The Feds are NOT amused! This isn't the first time for Road-Kill Randy - or for Air America for that matter.

What to do? One liberal pundit thinks she's just dumb .

I say lock the bitch up....no, Here's an idea. Let's put a hood over her head..make her stand on a box and take her picture. Yeah, that's the ticket! Posted by Hello

Lies, Damn Lies and ABC News/Washington Post Polls

More Bad Polling Data

Powerlineblog has info on more junked up polling at ABC News/Washington Post - Again...!

The media has learned nothing from Rather-Gate. They've learned nothing from the 2004 election and seem to be terminally clueless about reality. It's simply "Bash Bush" 2005. Same mantra, same old crap.

No wonder they are distrusted, dishonored and on the way out.

Good!

Save the Crispy Chicken Tenders!

Pamela Anderson: Boycott KFC

Pamela Anderson has joined the fight to save the chickens from KFC!

"I'm asking people to boycott KFC until the company demands that its suppliers stop crippling chickens and scalding them alive," Anderson said in a statement. "No animals should have to suffer this way, whether they're cats or dogs or chickens."

Ok, so we pet them and love them and THEN we can chop their heads off and eat them....hmmmm.

Pam, stick with the Tommy er...stick! I'll have you know that I know for a fact that before every chicken is killed they are allowed to pray first. Heck! They don't even let kids do that in school!

People in Glass Houses....

CBS News - It Didn't Start with Tom Delay

C-BS has a story on it's website reference to financed trips members of Congress have taken over the last five years. While Senator's Pelosi, Biden and other Democrats have been chomping at the bit calling for Senator Tom Delay's head - it seems he is a light weight compared to them.

In fact according to the site Political Money Line Delay ranks 28th among those who took the most trips. Joe Biden outranks him by a wide margin. Read more about for yourself, but it seems to me that the Democrats opened a Pandora's Box here and it may be far more damaging to them than to Delay.

I think the call for his resignation goes quietly into the night from here on out. Want to bet?

The Continual Saga of Liberal Losers

Both Powerline and Little Green Footballs are on it in "outing" the clowns who are trying to derail the Bolten nomination. Seems little Ms, Melody Townsel, former leader of Mothers Opposing Bush is crying about getting picked on (rather exposed) for being a democratic operative, as well as a liar. She is left to posting her woes on the Daily Kos, crying to the "Moon-Bats":

"Hello, Daily Kos-ers:

Tonight, my deepest fears regarding my pending testimony in the John Bolton nomination process have come true: Republicans have dredged up un unfortunate chapter of my life and, clearly, are about to announce it to the world. When you read this, you may decide either that I was stupid to step forward, or that I no longer deserve your trust. I want, however, to be the one to announce this to you all since you’ve been so unbelievably supportive.

When I was in college, 22 years ago, I plagiarized some columns while working for my college newspaper, and I was removed from staff. Months later, while working for another college newspaper, I wrote a review for a local play that tracked closely in format to another writer’s review — and, although it was not plagiarized, it made my editors, who had become aware of my recent past, very uncomfortable, and we mutually agreed that I would no longer submit stories to them.

As you can imagine, I’m deeply ashamed to be forced to revisit these events so publicly — and, while I was under tremendous academic, financial and family pressure at the time, there is absolutely NO excuse for what I did so long ago. I knew it was wrong then, and I remain deeply ashamed and embarrassed.

I wish to stress that Amy, my friend who has been such a staunch supporter and has been keeping you posted on things happening with my pending testimony, was completely unaware of these events. There are some things you don’t tell even your best friend."

So it goes on. Accusations made by liars, misrepresentations, slinging anything they can up against the wall to see if anything sticks. Clueless, lost little democrats - can't win at the ballot-box, losers at life.

The Audacity!

Accuweather wants your money!

Excuse me, I don't want to pay for knowing the weather - or read your stupid banners and popups for Viagra.

Sen. Santorum, you need to get your priorities together and stop getting your pockets filled with these stupid lobby tricks.

In the meantime I'm boycotting the weather channel and accuweather - what's your thoughts!

What to do with a brat?

Textbook case of discipline viewed with praise, criticism

A violent and unruly 5 year old. School calls police, police handcuff kid. Media is outraged. Yet the hometown newspaper takes a more balanced approach. Reading through the reader comments, seems the community is asking the appropriate questions.

The real question here in the age of lawsuits and PC treatment of children where simply giving a "F" on a report card is deemed to be "damaging" to the child's self-esteem, we have to ask, "What in the hell are we doing?"

Let the lawyers and PC idiots be damed. I say handcuff the kid, spank the kid, but do whatever it takes to "train a child in the way that they should go." Otherwise you have a problem that can lead to this .

Whimps...

Am i the only conservative who feels that they've been taken for a ride by our present representatives? I really don't know what to think of this bunch we have put up in Washington.

When I was 4 years old there was this little kid "Stevie" who was 2 and lived next store. Stevie was the Devil incarnate - he absolutely terrorized me. In fact to this date I still have a scar on my cheek from when he bit me.

I was scared to death of Stevie then. Now (unless he is bigger than me) if I ever saw him again, I would walk up to him, say, "Remember me?" and then bite him right on the cheek!

Democrats remind me of Stevie. Smaller, less powerful, yet the Republicans seem to be scared to death of them. Whether it's Delay or Bolton, they seem to cow-tow to every whim of these shrill sore losers. Every time Joe (plagiarism) Biden speaks I want to perform the cross as this guy couldn't tell the truth if it grew on his face. Harry Reid should shut the hell up about Delay, he should clean up his own house before he speaks of others.

Where is the gonads in the Republican Leadership? Who is going to put Stevie in his place?

Mike Reagan recoups more of the skeletal evidence of Democrats in this column

Andrew Sullivan "Foot on the Ledge" watch

One pundit calls Andrew an ass Heh, Andrew on a ledge with the rest of the libs! Got to love it!

Rightwingnews makes a good point: "If someone as openly hostile to religious people as Andrew Sullivan is furious about Ratzinger becoming Pope, then that's obviously a sign that he's a great choice. The only way it could get any better for Ratzinger would be if the ACLU issued a press release denouncing him."

Again, the Church doesn't have to change for people - the people need to repent.

Andrew Blows a Fuse

What a surprise, Andrew Sullivan is in a tiff over the selection of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger as the new Pontiff. On his blog Andrew rants:

This was not an act of continuity. There is simply no other figure more extreme than the new Pope on the issues that divide the Church. No one. He raised the stakes even further by his extraordinarily bold homily at the beginning of the conclave, where he all but declared a war on modernity, liberalism (meaning modern liberal democracy of all stripes) and freedom of thought and conscience. And the speed of the decision must be interpreted as an enthusiastic endoprsement of his views. What this says to American Catholics is quite striking: it's not just a disagreement, it's a full-scale assault.

Andrew is on the edge with a lot of back-sliden, and wayward "professed" Catholics today. "Oh Gee, why couldn't they have picked a more liberal (more like progressive) kind of guy? You know, one who chucks those old dusty words of Christ, Paul, the Law and the Prophets, and let us stop being so "tight".

Andrew, here is a word - man isn't for the Church, the Church is God's last word to man. The Church doesn't have to 'modernize", man has to repent. The message which got the Church fed to lions, burned at the stake, killed by the sword, drawn in two, doesn't deserve the likes of you or of your apostate crowd.

The Church has been under assault by you and your legions for years. Now we ARE circling the wagons - "for those who are not of us, were never a part of us", will leave - good. "For they were never partakers anyway.

It is time for the Church to clean house. The Body of Christ needs to make no apology nor does it have to conform. What we really have here with this selection is a separation. The goats from the sheep, and the goats are bleating.

"Do you want us to shoot her?"

By now everyone has heard of the 911 Dispatcher from Texas Mike Forbess who received a call from a Mother who couldn't control her teenager. Mike was on "Fox and Friends" this morning and offered this statement:

"I admit what I did. It was stupid, it was inexcusable, and I'm sorry."

Enough said.

The media's attempt to crucify this guy is unbelievable - no change that, it is "status quo". Anything negative to do with cops, law enforcement, doing good is target - ESPECIALLY when things go wrong.

I was a 911 Dispatcher for 12 years. I'm not saying what he did was right, but when I heard the tape I chuckled. Why? I've had my moments of comic relief too. Sometimes they laughed, and others, well, they didn't.

After a while you learn to hit the 'mute switch' when offering opinions (idiot!, "moron", etc.) It isn't worth the hassle.

Yet more disturbing is for ever one of these calls, there are thousands of others where 911 Dispatchers (overworked, and most often grossly underpaid), perform heroically. But you won't hear that from the MSM - not a chance.

However, Fox did a good job on it's show this morning. You can read more at:

Go Get 'Em John Paul!

The last book that Pope John Paul wrote is out. In it he addresses the "culture of death", gays, gay-marriage, abortion. If he is to be commended for one thing is that in the light of all opposition from the progressives in Europe and here at home, he stood fast to the teachings of Christ. For that he ulimately fulfilled his role as Christ's representative, and as a child of God.

The Church doesn't need to "change" to fit the whims of society - as evil as they have become. That has never been the Church's mission. "Repent and be saved" has been the message since Christ assended. That message cannot ever change, nor can it be diluted.
