Of course Larry's judgement was proven wrong on September 11th. Yet more important, his view of "world terrorism" potential was shared by many in the CIA and State Department right up to the war in Iraq.
You could therefore taste the tension when the White House didn't agree with Larry's ( and other's in the CIA/State Department) assessment after September 11th.
As they say, "The Battle was On!"
I think Mr. Johnson's views, or rather "biases" then are a key to this "mystery".
Over at Rightwing Nuthouse, Rick Moran profiles Mr. Johnson's as well as other ex-CIA ops backgrounds who are pushing the Plame Game. The feeling you get from reading about these guys is that they may just be the "sources" for all the leftist moonbat conspiracy theories about Iraq we have been hearing over the last two years.
There is definitely a partisan agenda here, and it has nothing to do with sticking up for Valerie Plame. This is about toppling the President and the Administration. This: Is Treason.
