This is sweet. The media is reporting that President Bush has clarified his position that anyone who broke the law in the Plame Game would be fired.
Yet they are trying to make this out as if he said something different than what he said before......(idiots).
As in the AP subheadline above: "President appears to qualify standard for firing in CIA-leak case"
What clarification? He said back in 2003 the same thing he is saying now.
"If there is a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is and if the person has violated the law, the person will be taken care of." Bush 2003
"If someone committed a crime, they will no longer work in my administration." Bush today.
So where is the clarification AP?

In every case he said anyone is FOUND to have broken a law, they will be dealt with - fired, whatever.
That is AFTER they have been found to be guilty - that is, if they are found - by the Special Prosecutor who is doing the investigation.
But the media, is sadly, insaned by the "blood" they smell, so they want to play semantics. For instance a press briefing I caught on CSPAN with Scott McCLellan getting the same ole lame ass questions by the Washington Press Corp. A= McClellan, B=WPC and Helen Thomas.
Q. But you had said that anyone involved with this would no longer be in this administration, you didn't say anyone who committed a crime.
A. Yeah, we've been through these issues over the past week, I know what was said previously.
Q. Did the president equate the word leaking to a crime? Is the only threshold for firing someone involved being charged with a crime?
Q. Two years and he can't call Rove in and find out what the hell is going on? (Helen Thomas, who else) All he has to do is call him in?
A. Because there's an investigation continuing at this point, the appropriate people handling these issues are the people investigating this investigation.
(snort)
Too bad the investigation isn't being done by the media or any one of a hundred other pundits and idiots who spent the better part of last week and, even today, trying to get Karl Rove fired (convicted and executed) before the investigation is complete.
What he said then, he is saying now.
If he is making it clear its because someone are "slower" than others, and being a President high on education and smarter than most pundits, he has to clarify so that even they can get it. But they won't. They are too "into" their predrawn conclusions.
Good thing the President isn't such a person and no matter what the media clamors for, Rove; or anyone else for that matter isn't going anywhere until the investigation is completed and the true facts are known.
