Memo to Newsweek - No, Bush isn't a Kerry, and he doesn't have to be

Newsweek is bothered by what they think are President Bush's 'isolationist tendencies" and they think they have the answer to "help him out":

Let me save you the bother of reading this tripe - there is better use for your bandwidth.

1. Murtha may have been a hero once, but he's talking like a pain in the ass chicken-little now. He ought to shut his piehole.

(Btw, I can say that, I too have some medals too. This is a war, not a prom.)

2. Bush unlike most Democrats doesn't speak to polls, and flip with their breeze. He doesn't have more positions than the Kama-Sultra (or John Kerry - same difference). Bush says what he means and means what he says, and doesn't care if NBC News or Newsweek doesn't like it, which is the trait has always disturbed the press - "Why can't he just apologize?" He never had to.

3. He also isn't obligated to compromise his beliefs on the altar of liberal cowardess. He has stood his ground through the worst onslaught against a sitting president from the left and MSM in recent memory and even now his poll numbers and clout are rising.

So Newsweek and the rest of the MSM can get over it, he isn't going to change, and he simply doesn't have to.
