I can - his words are the words of a coward. The Code of Military Service, "It's not the medals you won yesterday - it's how you fight today."
I know military as I come from a long, long line of Military men. From Grandfather who fought int the Argonne Forest, to my father who in addition to being at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, and winning two bronze stars defending it - to his brother who after fighting on D-Day and rising to the rank of Sergeant Major of the Army.
I have no truck with Rep. Murtha or his kind.
He cheapens the uniform and treats as an unholy thing the blood of those who have given the ulimate sacrifice. He is a disgrace.
Again, from a email box full of letters from soldiers I have been receiving over the last few days, the feelings are mutual.
But I have a greater question when did the left give a flip about the Military? Or anyone who ever served in it? I mean, when did all this "concern" begin? Looking over the last few decades I would say this latest thrust denotes a mounumental shift from their previous position.
Here's an interesting queston. What if Murtha were PRO-Iraq War? What then? What would they say? I'll tell you. I can see it now. They would be saying, "Tired old fart! What does he know!"
The left - by and large - are a cowardly lot of people. Pretending to support soldiers - they make every opportunity to desecrate their service and despise their sacrifice.
Back in July of 2005, this Frontpage Magazine article detailed the antiwar left and it's most radical elements.

The activities of these groups and others like them give us such touching moments of concern from "thinkers" such as this.
The fact is that the average garden variety moonbat liberal could care if Murtha choaked on his vitamins. But anything goes for them when it comes to political advantage. Which again, is why they don't "get it" and don't win at the ballot box.
