Democrats - Edwards in 2008? Yes! Yes!

As I told you, the Democrats are in bigger disarray that meets the eye. Although the Presidential primaries are still a ways off, this CAN'T be good:

"Former U.S. Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina leads a list of potential Democratic presidential candidates while Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack holds fourth place, trailing Edwards by 20 points in an early test of support among likely Iowa caucus participants.

A new Iowa Poll conducted for The Des Moines Register shows that Edwards, the runner-up in the Iowa Democratic caucuses two years ago and a frequent visitor to the state since then, is the choice of 30 percent of Iowans who say they are likely to take part in the January 2008 caucuses.

U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York follows on Edwards' heels with 26 percent in the Iowa Poll.

Experts say it's the first poll showing anyone besides Clinton as the preferred Democrat in the race for the White House.

U.S. Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, who used his victory in the 2004 caucuses as a springboard to the Democratic presidential nomination that year, is a distant third in the Iowa Poll with 12 percent."

Heh....you've got to be kidding me. Life couldn't get that good to have Edwards leading the pack of Dimowits up to 2008. Ok, aside from the fact that you can bet that the Hillary political machine is going to steam roll any competition to her run in 2008, nevertheless, let's review what we have in Edwards:

"If we do the work that we can do in this country, the work that we will do when John Kerry is President, people like Christopher Reeve will get up out of that wheelchair and walk again." -- John Edwards, Oct 11, 2004

Errr, .....Ok, ...he says stupid - REALLY stupid things.

But he has "flip-floppy" syndrome as well. For instance these two contrasting quotes about terrorism:

"There are 60 countries who have members of Al Qaida in them. How many of those countries are we going to invade?"

Ok......and yet according to Dimowits none of them were Iraq - but I digress.

"We will have one clear unmistakable message for Al Qaeda and these terrorists. You cannot run. You cannot hide. We will destroy you."

So how will you "destroy" them, if you don't go after them?

Then there is the "channeling" of those not yet born (kinda throws his pro-choice position into question - or at least open for debate.

Yep, if he's their great hope for 2008 - they are really screwed and in the words of Commander Flip Flop I say - BRING IT ON!

Calling Mr. Fitzgerald?

**UPDATED AND BUMPED****

As I told you about in this post yesterday as a source confirmed to me that the Justice Department has launched a probe into the NSA leak. Mr. Risen, you are in trouble - prepare your defense. I told you so.

The White House will be announcing the probe at about 12:30pm. My source tells me that this probe will most likely result in another prosecutor being assigned as of course Fitzgerald is still busy/dizzy on the Plame/Game No-Leak. Additionally, other probes into other recent leaks such as the CIA 'prisons'leak is in the works as well. As I said, this is the NEW Bush - on the attack - it's no more Mr. Nice Guy!

About time! Also covering Michelle Malkin

UPDATE II: Looks like I owe my source big time as yet another tip comes true as the Washington Post is on the target list as well for the CIA Prison leak.

Newsbusters Busts the MSM on Bush Event

Newsbusters, the blog of Brent Bozell's Media Research Center, exposes the MSM attempt to spin President Bush's meeting with troops into a 'staged event'.

Truth is that the event was not staged, the troops were telling their real feelings: that they support the war and our President.

I guess they might have this story mixed up with the "planted question" to Sec. Rumsfeld back in December 2004.

Yet, that wasn't the case here, Soldiers when asked, will tell you the truth.

Just like in this picture, they tell it like it is!

Michelle Malkin has links to other reactions. Also Blogs for Bush.

UPDATE I: Michelle has a further reponse from one of the soldiers in the video. Here's an excerpt:

"First of all, we were told that we would be speaking with the President of the United States, our Commander-in-Chief, President Bush, so I believe that it would have been totally irresponsible for us NOT to prepare some ideas, facts or comments that we wanted to share …
