Hey Rocky, How'd They Know?

Just heard this on the Rush Limbaugh Show, about how Senator (I've been to Syria and Back to Impeach Bush!) Rockefeller's "secret" hand written memo where he expressed 'reservations' about Domestic Suvellence was such a BIG secret.

As quoted in this story yesterday:

"West Virginia Sen. Jay Rockefeller, the Senate Intelligence Committee's top Democrat, on Monday released a letter he wrote to Cheney in July 2003 that, given the program's secrecy, he was "unable to fully evaluate, much less endorse these activities."

As they say, "Busted!"

On Hardball the other night, Andrea Mitchell, who is sitting in for Matthews, is talking to Senator Feinstein. The question: "Have you discussed this letter with him now since it's come out?"

Via Andrea Mitchell questioning of Feistein on Hardball reference Rockefeller's memo:

FEINSTEIN: No. He won't discuss it with me, but I say, "Good for him."

MITCHELL: What does this do for relationships up there on the Hill, senator?

FEINSTEIN: No, I don't think that --

MITCHELL: You're colleagues. You're long-time friends.

FEINSTEIN: No, no, no, no! The point is he can't discuss it. You see, that's why it isn't proper oversight. This kind of thing, as I tried to point out in the earlier segment, should have come to us in writing, and we should have been able to review what the plan is.

The point is that this "memo" as a "secret" and not even his "buddies" knew about. Yet the NY Times knew about it!

"According to those officials and others, reservations about aspects of the program have also been expressed by Senator John D. Rockefeller IV, the West Virginia Democrat who is the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and a judge presiding over a secret court that oversees intelligence matters. Some of the questions about the agency's new powers led the administration to temporarily suspend the operation last year and impose more restrictions, the officials said."

Who leaked that info? Was it all just a part of the plan?

Was the memo itself even real? Calling Dan Rather?....Paging Mr. Rather....

Calling Mr. Fitzgerald?

As I told you about in this post yesterday as a source confirmed to me that the Justice Department has launched a probe into the NSA leak. Mr. Risen, you are in trouble - prepare your defense. I told you so.

The White House will be announcing the probe at about 12:30pm. My source tells me that this probe will most likely result in another prosecutor being assigned as of course Fitzgerald is still busy/dizzy on the Plame/Game No-Leak. Additionally, other probes into other recent leaks such as the CIA 'prisons'leak is in the works as well. As I said, this is the NEW Bush - on the attack - it's no more Mr. Nice Guy!

About time! Also covering Michelle Malkin

UPDATE II: Looks like I owe my source big time as yet another tip comes true as the Washington Post is on the target list as well for the CIA Prison leak.

Newsbusters Busts the MSM on Bush Event

Newsbusters, the blog of Brent Bozell's Media Research Center, exposes the MSM attempt to spin President Bush's meeting with troops into a 'staged event'.

Truth is that the event was not staged, the troops were telling their real feelings: that they support the war and our President.

I guess they might have this story mixed up with the "planted question" to Sec. Rumsfeld back in December 2004.

Yet, that wasn't the case here, Soldiers when asked, will tell you the truth.

Just like in this picture, they tell it like it is!

Michelle Malkin has links to other reactions. Also Blogs for Bush.

UPDATE I: Michelle has a further reponse from one of the soldiers in the video. Here's an excerpt:

"First of all, we were told that we would be speaking with the President of the United States, our Commander-in-Chief, President Bush, so I believe that it would have been totally irresponsible for us NOT to prepare some ideas, facts or comments that we wanted to share …
