Just Call Him - "Dollar Bill"! William Jefferson Gets 13 years

Justice finally done.
"Former Rep. William Jefferson was sentenced today to 13 years in prison for his conviction on 11 counts of public corruption in a case in which he famously hid $90,000 in his freezer. U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III delivered the sentence at a packed courtroom in the federal courthouse in Alexandria, Va.
Prosecutors had asked for 27 to 33 years in prison, while Jefferson's lawyers said the prison term should be less than 10 years. Jefferson stood stoically as the sentence was read, showing little emotion.
Ellis said that Jefferson, a New Orleans Democrat who served nine terms in Congress, must surrender at the federal correctional facility ultimately selected for his incarceration by the Bureau of Prisons. The judge said he will hold a hearing next week to set date for when Jefferson must report to prison. If the judge approves the prosecution's request, the former congressman would have to report immediately. Jefferson's attorneys have asked for Jan. 4 reporting date. Jefferson is expected to be assigned to a low-security prison in the federal system, possibly in Florida."

Should have gotten a lot more, but we'll take it.   Remember that this was the guy that Nancy (Clean the Swamp) Pelosi REFUSED to take off committee assignments until after his trial.

Don't drop the soap Bill.

He was also ordered to forfeit nearly a half a million bucks, but the crook filed bankruptcy and owes his lawyers more than five million.

Whatever cronie Obama has hired to run the Protocol Office should be fired. Not only is it improper for the POTUS to bow to any world leader, he doesn't even seen to know the correct way of bowing.

One does not bow in Japan in such a low (90 degree) manner unless in apology. And never, ever does one also reach out to shake hands, or touch the one you are bowing to.

I can't believe this clown is so clueless. His bow, as viewed by the Japanese, will be taken as a sign of Obama's infiriority to the Japanese Emperor. And he will be viewed as a fool who knows nothing of protocol although he has thousands at his disposal to brief him on such things.

Calling Mr. Fitzgerald?

As I told you about in this post yesterday as a source confirmed to me that the Justice Department has launched a probe into the NSA leak. Mr. Risen, you are in trouble - prepare your defense. I told you so.

The White House will be announcing the probe at about 12:30pm. My source tells me that this probe will most likely result in another prosecutor being assigned as of course Fitzgerald is still busy/dizzy on the Plame/Game No-Leak. Additionally, other probes into other recent leaks such as the CIA 'prisons'leak is in the works as well. As I said, this is the NEW Bush - on the attack - it's no more Mr. Nice Guy!

About time! Also covering Michelle Malkin

UPDATE II: Looks like I owe my source big time as yet another tip comes true as the Washington Post is on the target list as well for the CIA Prison leak.

Sniper Attack Las Vegas Music Festival

Police are hunting for the female companion of a lone gunman who killed at least 20 people, including two off-duty police officers, and injured more than 100 injured in Las Vegas on Sunday night.
Officers believe Marilou Danley, who they described as a middle-aged Asian woman, has more information on the man who attacked the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Sunday night before being killed.
That man was named by 9 News as Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old man from Mesquite, Nevada, who was known to local law enforcement.
Police were reported to be searching his house in the early hours of Monday morning, though there was no indication of a motive.
The Strip was completely shut down after the man, described by police as 'a local' opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay resort and casino.
