The Plame Game - Matthews Relives Watergate

This is a Macsmind annoucement to the left:

You can close down the Daily Kos! David Corn of the Nation, take the month off don't have to write another article. Why?

Chris Matthews on his show "Hardball", has taken the lead on the tin-foil "That"McChimpy Bushhitler is through, he's finished!" crowd.

Matthews on MSNBC yesterday morning:

" If there are indictments they're going to be probably in the vice president's office, they're probably going to come next week, and they are going to blow this White House apart. It's going to be unbelievable. I think the people watching right now who are voters better start paying attention to this issue. It's not just about whether somebody's name was leaked. It's about whether we went to war under false pretenses or not, whether the people knew about that or not and what they did when they were charged with that kind of offense against the United States. I mean, it's serious business.".....

"It's not just about a leak case. There's lots of leaks in this town. It's not even about a set of felonies. It's about the relationship between the president of the United States and the vice president of the United States which has been probably the strongest political relationship we've ever seen in this town. They are so connected at the hip, and if this dislodges that connection, that's going to be big news because now Bill -- George W. Bush will be running this country completely on his own the next couple months. It's going to be very interesting."

Where is Matthews getting this crap? From where else, the rabid left. Notice Matthew's slip "Bill" I bolded? Heh...

First, the left is yaking about 22 indictments, and and by the way, forget any trial, they've Rove and Libby breaking rocks on Cheney's head in the Rock Yard at Sing-Sing.....blah, blah, blah....

Of course all this when they haven't a clue about what is going to happen in this case. Nobody does. Heck according to the "Paper of Record" Fitzgerald isn't even sure what he's going to do, if he's going to do anything at all.

If you haven't noticed, most of the left has abandoned the "Plame = Secret Agent" angle, they know that wasn't the case. So they wager that Fitzgerald may be looking at something else. As Matthews said, it's about "WMD" and "Lies that led us to war!" and "That DB Cooper and Bigfoot got married and bought a ranch with Elvis just outside Vegas!"

Ok, the last one's mine, but it's not any different than some of what we are hearing from the left.
