Giving it up for Chris Matthews

I'm hard on Chris Matthews sometimes. Was when I was reporting, and even now with this "blogging thing". But you've got to give credit where credit's due.

On Hardball the other night, Chris had on Liberal Hack Mark Green, who made the baseless but oft repeated Nancy Pelosi accusation that "The Bush administration is corrupt".

Chris called him on it. The Political Teen has the video here.

Transcript:

"MATTHEWS: Can you name a conviction, Mark?

BEN GINSBURG: Thank you Chris.

GREEN: Hold it. hold it. What I said was

MATTHEWS: Name a conviction?

GREEN: One second. What I said was that six people, three people have been indicted. By the way Chris, if you and I have been indicted, it doesn’t mean we’re guilty, but we wouldn’t trade places ..

MATTHEWS: No no no. I just want to know, when you call an administration has a, has a culture of corruption, I think you need one case of proven guilt, don’t you? At least one case of proven guilt."

The fact is that Green couldn't name one conviction, because there hasn't been any. But as a rule Democrats scream "politics of personal destruction" when they get caught with their "pants down", and then are the first to jump on the "gotcha" bandwagon when it's someone else.

Hypocrites, and it's about time they got called on it.

I wish the MSM as a whole had the same guts to go after Nancy Pelosi after she referred to the Bush Administration as "Culture of Corruption".

She's a fine one to talk about ethics and corruption. In fact, in the coming months (inside tip) she's going to be eating those words and crying Clinton's song. I'll be there to cover it.

The fact is that if Chris Matthews, pretty much a partisan liberal can't stand Green's obvious bull crap, then the American people (except the Moonbat left) aren't buying it either.

The fact is that whoever commits a criminal act should be charged and tried and IF guilty punished, whatever party they belong to.

But the Democratic Party has become the Party of "Gotcha" and like Glady Kravits of Bewitched is constantly staring out the windown at the White House, screaming for anyone to hear, "Abner! Abner! Look at what the Steven's are up to!"

That's why they're a dying (if not already dead) party. No ideas, just neuroticism.
