Andy Card Resigns

No big news here, we were all expecting a shake up, but this really isn't it. Card, like a lot of public servants can make a heck of lot more money on the outside (ask Newt), and being COS takes a lot of time from family.

"Bush said Card had approached him earlier this month about the possibility of stepping down, and Bush accepted his offer this weekend, when the two were at Camp David.

"He's been here 5-1/2 years. The average tenure of chief of staff is two years," said a senior administration official, who spoke before the announcement, but refused to be named so as not to upstage the president. "Change can be good and necessary and that's what they had discussed."

Makes sense. But the "senseless" think not as the crazy left is looking for the "underlying" reasons", one thing I know is that Andy had a better memory than Clinton's absent minded COS, who testified in court or before Congress said that they didn't remember, didn't know, or something similar during their (short) service.

To wit:

Mack McLarty 233 times.
John Podesta 264 times.

Said it before and I'll say it again, nothing in this administration holds a candle to the previous den of evil - nothing in history.
