Radical so long as Christians are making them

Have you noticed that the MSM seems to have it out for the 700 Club and Pat Robertson?

"NORFOLK, Va. - Television evangelist Pat Robertson said Monday on his live news-and-talk program “The 700 Club” that Islam is not a religion of peace, and that radical Muslims are “satanic.”

Robertson’s comments came after he watched a news story on his Christian Broadcasting Network about Muslim protests in Europe over the cartoon drawings of the Prophet Muhammad.

He remarked that the outpouring of rage elicited by cartoons “just shows the kind of people we’re dealing with. These people are crazed fanatics, and I want to say it now: I believe it’s motivated by demonic power. It is satanic, and it’s time we recognize what we’re dealing with.”

Robertson also said that “the goal of Islam, ladies and gentlemen, whether you like it or not, is world domination.”

Now, I am a Christian, though not a particular 700 Club fan, and Pat has said some things that make me cringe, yet nevertheless Robertson is correct on many points about Islam, and especially from the context of the Christian faith, and if you read the Quran you'll see nothing but the focus for world domination - by force if necessary. But it's clear that he wasn't referring to Islam as a whole in the more "bitting" comments he made. In fact you read on and it's clarified whom he was referring to:

"In a statement later Monday, Robertson said he was referring specifically to terrorists who want to bomb innocent people as being motivated by Satan. In the news story, he noted, radical Muslims were shown screaming: “May Allah bomb you! May Osama bin Laden bomb you!”

Angell Watts, a Robertson spokeswoman, said in a telephone interview that the news segment also included comments from a moderate Muslim in the United Kingdom saying radicals don’t represent most Muslims in that country."

Don't you love how the MSM leads with a "misunderstanding" in their headlines?

Yet my point isn't the veracity of Robertson's statement, but what seems to be the overt negative focus on Christians as compared to the more "radical" of so-called religious leaders among us.

For instance, the MSM covers Robertson while ignoring and glorifying others with overtly racist views such as Louis Farrakhan. For example his recent statements made on February 26th this year during Saviour's Day. To this date now weeks later I've yet to see any MSM coverage on it.

"These false Jews promote the filth of Hollywood that is seeding the American people and the people of the world and bringing you down in moral strength…It’s the wicked Jews the false Jews that are promoting Lesbianism, homosexuality. It’s wicked Jews, false Jews that make it a crime for you to preach the word of God, then they call you homophobic!”

“Is Jerusalem surrounded by armies now? [Crowd: “yes, sir!”] These neocons and Zionists have manipulated Bush and the American government and our boys and girls are dying in Iraq and in Afghanistan for the cause of Israel, not for the cause of America! Israel is the tail waggin’ the dog, which is America. You may not like me, and I really don’t give a damn. I’m throwin’ the gauntlet down today.”

More here

Nothing Robertson has said has ever come close to Farrakhan's "Satanic Verses" and message of hate and borderline insurrection. But if the MSM has anything to say about it - or rather not say about it - he won't be brought to the world "carpet" over it.
