Plame Game - The REAL Story is a Slam Dunk!

It will not be long before the Plame Game gets much more national attention. For instance, this OPED, by Jim Hoagland, published yesterday in the Washington Post, on appearence looks like a "Blame Bush" piece, but in essence it exposes the "plot" I've been talking about all along.

Open Up, Mr. President

"It is not surprising that your White House distrusts and/or despises the media, the CIA, the State Department's career officers, the United Nations and a host of other institutions that you could not control, but that you could not accept that you could not control. Like most paranoia, yours is not totally unfounded: People in those institutions were out to defy and/or get you.

But you and yours helped them accomplish the mission. One lesson available in this story is that amateurs are no match for the CIA in disinformation campaigns. The spies are far better at operating in the shadows than you politicians will ever be. They have a license to dissemble.

The hidden management of the criminal justice process and the news media practiced by spooks in Wilson-Rove-Libbygate is nothing short of brilliant. So you were right to fear the agency. Where else do you think the one-page crime report that triggered the investigation and then the pressure-building leaks disclosing its existence came from?

Fear probably caused you to keep the Clinton-appointed leadership in place at the CIA long after some of its top operatives mounted a rebellion against the White House, in part to shift attention from their failures to yours. I know that George Tenet charmed you, and the rest of us. That's what spies and spymasters do, sir. You should have been taking that into account."

Mr Hoagland, tries to make the point that it was the "secretive and distrusting" Bush administration that is to blame for the leaks and the fall of Scooter. Which to me sounds a lot like the "Twinkie" defense. All administrations in recent memory have been secretive, perhaps none more than the previous Clinton administration. Being secretive doesn't excuse treason.

Nevertheless, this is important: Mr. Hoagland nails it! First, that there was a plot, and we know that, but more important he relates the fact that the 'enemy' - these rogue ops were and are experts at manipulation and creating 'alternate realities'. They had brought down a President 30 years ago using the same media manipulation and PSYOPS they've been using in this story. To them, it's "business as usual".

Combined with willingness and agenda of some of the MSM they have basically created an alternate scandal to the real scandal. As he said, "Masterful".

This is not about a leak, the leak was a "bone" thrown to divert attention from the Scandal. Not only of rogues trying to discredit a President, but to also hide their mulimillion dollar "Cake" operation.

The question on everybody's lips is who is the CIA source - who is no partisen gunslinger- who leaked to Novak, the gist of the Plame Game?

I am prepared to tell you, and on more than one reliable source, that Mr. Hoagland, nails that mystery as well. It's as we say, "A Slam Dunk".
