Plame Game - Wrath of Khan - Allah's Cloud

Providing even more connections in the Plame Game:

Per an email tip, this story from Italian newspaper Il Giornale:

"The network of Pakistani scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan is a complex puzzle of shadow companies, straw men, university brains, religious individuals, businessmen, military and spies belonging to a government that continues to claim that it knows nothing, has never known anything, about the traffic of centrifuges and know-how linked to the Islamic bomb.

Despite the arrest of the dispenser of atomic favours the organisation can still boast of ties throughout the world, but it’s in Africa, host to Islamic fundamentalism, that the situation seems to have escaped the 007’s in their search for suppliers of primary material, missile components and technology for the construction of weapons of mass destruction.

A recent intelligence lead takes us back to Niger, where Khan was a welcomed guest of the government and where his intermediaries continue to do business, the very same who in 1999 made a fool of the French Secret Services charged with monitoring – through the multinational Cogema – the uranium mines from which some years before were able to illegally export 1,200 tons of yellow cake (yellow uranium oxide from which gas is extracted to be applied in centrifuges in order to be enriched) to Libya.

The very same Khan – according to official International Atomic Energy Agency data – bought a part of the 450 tons of stored in Libya in exchange for arms and petrodollars to finance Islamabad’s nuclear program. Khan worked for Pakistan and for anyone else looking for the precious pieces with which to make an atomic bomb. Businessmen from Niger and the «architect» of the Islamic Bomb turn up in the notes of the secret services who some time back indicated, amongst other things, the attempts made by Saddam’s emissaries to buy uranium from Niamey in the very same period in which, in Nigers capital, the Old Man of the DIY nuclear device, Khan, was present.

As was seen in Niger-gate the final report of the British Parliaments Commission, in July 2004, pointed out the passage in Niger of Iraqi officials in 1999 and mentions sellers of uranium who in 1999 and 2001 planned to sell uranium to Iran, Libya, China, North Korea and Iraq.

This information is in part similar to Ambassador Wilson’s report. The information puts Khan in Niger in that period, detailing how his scientific court, installed in the hall of the Grand Hotel du Niger, gave appointments to local emissaries and clients from every imaginable country on a daily basis. Appointments where information, money and encrypted documents exchanged hands.

Secret Informative notes refer in detail to how Khan and his scientific council made a series of visits to Niger and to the Direction of the Pakistani nuclear site of Khauta, visits made in February. In 1998, and above all 1999, a series of encounters defined by nuclear anti-proliferation experts as highly suspect, were held in Niamey. It was here that the «doctor» had his atomic shopping base, the very same base as was used for trips to Sudan, Nigeria, Dubai, Casablanca (where he was received by the ambassador Kakar), Bamako or Timbuktu in Mali (February 98, Hotel Hendrina Khan), Chad where in February he visited the Shifa centre which had just been bombed by the Americans.

Again in February a visit to Mauritania where contacts are made with officials of the Republic of Congo and Somalia, countries evidence by the CIA to the White House before the declarations made by George W. Bush in regards to Iraq, declarations in which the President mentions Africa, and not Niger, as the place in which Saddam was desperately seeking uranium. While Rocco Martino was putting his hands on documents that evidenced agreements between the Niger government and Iraq for the supply of uranium at the very same time, and up until well into 2000, the strangest people on the earth were busy visiting Niger’s ‘Gran Bazar’ with Khan.

All of the intelligence agencies discovered the father of the Islamic Bomb seeking out money to satisfy the requirements of all those countries intentioned on counterbalancing Israel’s nuclear deterrent. Between one trip and another Khan appeared again in Niger on February 22, 2000, he had been invited by the ambassador Brig Nisare. Khan arrived from Timbuktu, he had stopped over in Dubai where he remained with his right-hand-man Bukari Saied Abu Tair. After the time necessary to meet with his men he left on the 24 for Sri Lanka with Nairobi, Kenya, as a final destination. In fifteen days, on average, Khans visited ten African countries always returning to Niger because – as was later discovered – his laboratories in Pakistan were going ahead with atomic powder from the mines in Niger (Pakistan produced around 745 kilos of enriched uranium capable of producing 40 nuclear bombs each with a 2,000 km range) In 1999 Khan was discovered by the 007’s between Niger and Nigeria looking for fuel for a Chinese reactor. From 1999 until today Khan’s network has suffered a series of setbacks but, according to intelligence analysts, in Africa’s fundamentalist countries Khan is continuing to function using lesser means: the work of the mediators is finding fertile ground in the trafficking of double use components that are, apparently, destined to civil use but in reality destined to the enrichment of uranium for military purposes."

Ok, a lot of things in this article.

First, we have what we know that Khan was also in Niamey, with some of Saddam's people at about the same time that Joe Wilson was there on "business". Again, as I told you here this is exactly what I thought he was doing in Niger in 1999 - brokering yellowcake - using his "French contacts". So that:

1) The intel showing Saddam seeking uranium in 1999, 2001 was correct - there is no mistake about it.

2) Because it would be a matter of time before the story was out, the purpose of Wilson's trip to Niger in 2002 was to throw a smoke screen over the previous trip - cover his tracks, and so the tracks of all the other major players -specifically the French.

Which brings us to back to James Lewis and his theory of the French forging the Niger documents in the first place. I'm telling you the more I look at this ,the more I see the story of Cogema and illicit sales of uranium to rogue nations linking all the way to the "Big Frog" himself - Jacques Chirac.

Moreover, others I suspect, specifically the IAEA and some members of the UN Security Council. I'm telling you, the links in this thing go off the page.

However, more important is whether or not this network is still operating. We need to know who got what, and more important who still has it. No doubt Iran benefited from these sales and it's why they are playing "reactor games" with the US.

The real damage that Khan wrough is still coming out almost two years after being caught. But here's a blip on Khan from Opinion Journal in 2004 that should send a chill.

"And at last, sooner or later, we will come to the real secret: that of al Qaeda; and of Khan's links to Lashkar-e-Toiba, the fundamentalist terrorist group at the heart of al Qaeda; and the fact that this "mad scientist" is first of all mad about God, a fanatical Islamist who in his heart and soul believes that the bomb of which he is the father should belong, if not to the Umma itself, at least to its avant-garde, as incarnated by al Qaeda. So let us not shrink from measuring the probability of a nightmare scenario: to wit, a Pakistani state which--in the shelter of its alliance with an America that is decidedly not counting inconsistencies--could furnish al Qaeda with the means to take the ultimate step of its jihad."

It's time to get the Plame Game on the carpet before we all begin to glow.

Plame Game - Deep in the DNC 'Doo-Doo'

As I work the connections I've discovered for a future post, AJ Strata has begun to link few things between last year's Kerry Campaign, portions of the NSC, CIA and the Niger forgery story. AJ is definately on to something here.

As I said, the CIA/NSC/State Department vs. White House has been going on for years from the Bay of Pigs to Iraq. Yet in all my experience I've never seen it as intense as the attack launched on this President. An attack which while inflicting "wounds" has not succeeded. Remember, their goal was for Kerry to win the election, therefore providing for a quick troop withdrawal and taking care of that bothersome Oil for Food Scandal, which hasn't begun to connect the dots that lead even to our hightest halls of Government and Business.

But Kerry didn't win. Even when they attempted to rig preliminary exit poll reports using the media, the dolt still lost and lost big.

So now their on "Plan B", which is to bring the President up on falsified and trumped up charges over the war. It won't work, but it has exposed some of the players that I will be telling you about as we move along. US Senators and members of Congress that conspired with certain 527s and very wealthy benefactor to pull a fast one on the American people.

However, the Eleventh Commandment will reign - "Thou Shalt Not Get Away with It!"

Senator Lurch - Please Run Again in 2008 - PLEASE!

Senator Lurch on getting out of,...er, pulling out of war:

"When 80 percent of the people say we want America to withdraw and when 45 percent of the people in the country we're fighting for believe it's OK to kill Americans to help us get there, the president is not dealing with a certain kind of reality that's important to the lives of our troops," said Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., Bush's opponent in the 2004 presidential election."

Eighty percent? Excuse me Lurch, where are you getting this Kosmik Debri? Did you mean, a mid-November Gallup Poll, 52 percent supported either immediate withdrawal or withdrawal within 12 months? Oh, what's another 30 percent to you dolts - it's all bad anyway.

"It's all well and good to talk about being there with your troops training on the ground — training — until we are ready to leave. But that ignores what his own generals have told him," Kerry said of the president. "General Casey has said very clearly that it is the large presence of American forces on the ground that feeds the insurgency and makes it more difficult for the Iraqis to assume responsibility, because they don't have to."

And Lurch knows, although Casey said nothing of the kind. Although I guess it's like the same group of foreign leaders he talked about back here that you said wanted him to win the election. You know? That elusive group that hung out in coffee shops or whatever?

Maybe it's just the season and those memories of his Christmas in Cambodia tour?

Thanks for the insight Lurch. I guess we could say that your plan would be for them to have spent only four months in country, make some movies of their exploits, and then frag themself in the ass so they could go home and become a real life antiwar protester and run for President some day?

Is that it Lurch?

'Quitting is Not An Exit Strategy'

"This is an enemy without conscience and they cannot be appeased," Bush told an audience of students at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. Bush said that if the coalition were not fighting terrorists in Iraq, those terrorists would be plotting ways to harm the United States elsewhere.

"By fighting these terrorists in Iraq, Americans in uniform are fighting a direct threat to the A
merican people … we will never back down, we will never give in and we will never accept anything less than compete victory," the president said. "America will help the Iraqis so they can protect their families and secure their free nation. We will stay as long as necessary to complete the mission."

Today the White House began to outline the so-called exit strategy from Iraq. Yesterday Sec. Defense Donald Rumsfeld told us, "Quitting is not an exit strategy".

The fact is that for myself, a former career military man, this idea of "exit strategy" is crap. The fact is that the President today told us what he has always told us, - 'We're staying until the job is done'.

Sure we can skim down our troop levels a bit, but "exit"? No way - not now. Thank God (yeah God), that this is a President that doesn't back down because polls tell him to. He doesn't cower just because skewed, so-called opinion polls show that people that didn't vote for him and don't like him still don't like him.

He is something the left hasn't had since FDR - a Leader.

The MSM and the antiwar left are constantly yapping their traps about this exit strategy, yet from the beginning he said the war would be, "protracted and difficult". This wasn't going to be a sitcom - over in 30 minutes.

Compared to other conflicts, such as WWII and Korea, the Iraq war/occupation cycle has been surprisingly short. The war - a breeze as resistance was next to nothing. The rest of the time has been helping the Iraqi's establish their new government, and killing a bunch of terrorist slugs along the way. In fact it's amazing that in just three years, we disposed of, captured and now have on trial a ruthless dictator, freed a nation, oversaw their preliminary elections and helped them train their own army, police forces, etc.

Pretty damn good for just three years.

Contrast this to the nearly eighteen years it took to stabilize Western Europe, and Fifty years of occupation on the Korean peninsula (of which I spent two of the best years of my life on the DMZ).

Fact is that post-war occupation has always been a signifcant planning factor in war, and yes their are significant issues involved.

Back in 2004, James Carifano wrote of the problems the US faced in WWII with post war occupation, contrasting between them and with the then coming occupation of Iraq.

"The torch was being passed. Speeches were made. The United States transferred sovereignty from the occupation authorities to the new postwar government. Critics railed, saying the day meant nothing _ that nothing had changed. American troops, they said, were stuck in a quagmire. The enemy was getting stronger. Disaster loomed.

It was Sept. 21, 1949, in Bonn, West Germany....When FDR planned for the occupation of Europe, he believed all U.S. troops would be home within two years. The outbreak of the Cold War presented unexpected challenges, but U.S. commitment remained resolute. Similar resolve will see us through today's challenges."

And there have been significant challenges and yes, even mistakes made. FDR made mistakes.

But, on the flip side significant challenges have already been overcome.

Warring factions, such as the Sunnis and the Shiites that the critics said would never work together have come together. Perfectly? No. But so what, hate to break it to ya baby cakes but it's not a perfect world.

Hell, look at our own political system and it's history and tell me that politics is perfect harmony.

Fineman over at Newsweek is spouting (he's always spouting), that the only reason Democrats want to win in 2006 and 2008 is so they can give the conspiracy "Bush lied/People died" moonbat left their congressional day in court.

Isn't that just swell? Yeah, and pretty damn sad. Think of it. For Democrats and the radical left, since Bill Clinton it's always been about "payback", of which fueled and continues to fuel "The Plame Game".

No wonder Democrats can't win at the ballot box - too busy being angry. Get some therapy already.

The fact is that President Bush is standing his ground against the rhetoric of the anti-american, antiwar left, who would like nothing better than to see the US laughed at by the terrorist and the world (both of which are their heros). The President's message to them is simple. We are staying the course - so shut the hell up and get over it.

Stupid Tree Hugging Liberal Alert: Yeah...."Our Fault"....

Via Fox News...

"BAGHDAD, Iraq — A peace group blamed the United States and Britain for the abduction of four activists — an American, a Briton and two Canadians — shown in an insurgent video, saying the kidnapping was the direct result of the occupation of Iraq.

Meanwhile, in the central town of Baqouba, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a minibus early Wednesday, killing nine construction workers and wounding two others, the Diyala police said in a statement.

After a months-long hiatus in the kidnapping of foreigners, television footage on Tuesday once again showed Westerners held captive.

A German archaeologist — bound and blindfolded — knelt among masked gunmen in one video. Four frightened peace activists were shown in another blurry tape.

The latest attacks are part of a new wave of kidnappings police fear is aimed at disrupting next month's national elections.

Christian Peacemaker Teams, a group that has had activists in Iraq since October 2002, said it was saddened by the video of their workers. The workers, the group said, were working against the occupation of Iraq.

"We are angry because what has happened to our teammates is the result of the actions of the U.S. and U.K. government due to the illegal attack on Iraq and the continuing occupation and oppression of its people," the group said."

Let's see...

So called "Peace activists", and "Christian Peace activists", are hanging around an area not exactly known for loving foreigners, not to mention "Christian Foreigners" and get nabbed by Islamic extremists.

And this is the fault of the United States.

And this spare tire around my middle is due to Moon Tides.....

Cindy Book Tour Update

Cindy is upset:

"Antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan and her book publisher are upset about Associated Press and Reuters photos that allegedly presented a misleading impression of her book signing last weekend in Texas.

Sheehan, whose soldier son was killed in Iraq, gained wide fame last summer in an antiwar protest near President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas, and then in a march in Washington, D.C. She returned to Crawford last week for a Thanskgiving protest. Her new book, “Not One More Mother's Child,” had just been published, and her publisher organized a book signing in a large tent in Crawford on Saturday.

Photos of the event, carried widely on the Web, and then picked up by conservative blogs, seemed to imply that the book signing was a bust. The photos showed Sheehan looking dejected, sitting at a table, with no one in the tent except for a couple of photographers. The AP caption simply read: “Anti-war activist CindySheehan waits for people to show up at her book signing near President Bush's ranch on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005 in Crawford, Texas.”

The Washington Post, which carried Evan Vucci's AP photo, noted that at a protest the same day Sheehan had addressed a crowd of only about 100. “In the morning,” the Post observed, “Sheehan signed copies of her new book, being published this week, for an even smaller crowd,” although it cited bad weather as a possible factor."

Or, the other possibility is...

The book sucks; no one cares; you're fifteen minutes of carping are up....etc, etc...

Plame Game - The Real Game

"Since it’s creation in 1947, the CIA has been a service dominated by a handful of individuals who carried out their activities as they saw fit, some honestly trying to serve the national interest, others focusing enormous amounts of energy on personal political advantage, even personal profit." - Prelude to Terror: the Rogue CIA, The Legacy of America's Private Intelligence Network the Compromising of American Intelligence - Robert Trento

"...or those of us who served as CIA analysts when Richard Nixon was president. Chalk it up to our naivete, but we were taken aback when swashbuckling James Schlesinger, who followed Richard Helms as CIA director, announced on arrival, "I am here to see that you guys don't screw Richard Nixon!" Ray McGoven - former CIA Analysist (VIPS member)

While we’re on the Plame Game let’s review what we have to date.

We know at this point that the whole thing began as a “disinformation ploy” to discredit the US War effort in Iraq. The major question beside that of “Political” reasons is the greater question of “why”? I’ve obtained several reasons, but primarily there was the motivation to stop the Bush Administration from killing the “Golden Goose” for which not only Nations were getting rich, but also individuals within our own government - namely from within the IC community. Make no mistake, a lot of people were getting rich by Saddam and the Oil for Food Program, but it was only the tip of the iceberg.

Understand this, that the CIA from the inside is made up of people with the same political persuasions you’ll find on the outside of the "cryptic wall". For the most part Langley was, and in many cases still is a “liberal” organization. Just as the State Department under Colin Powell was. Not liberal in the sense we often think of it, but from a decidedly socialistic/leftist and sometimes totalitarian perspective.

For the betterment Director Goss has made sweeping changes and has taken out the “trash”, as it is called, as evident by the “rumblings” we have seen by the MSM and groups like the VIPS. Let’s hope he continues.

The State Department, as insiders tell me, is also coming along as Condi Rice has basically begun to “crack the whip” and get those "out of line" in line, although she has a tougher road travel to cleaning up that rats nest. Where the CIA has a political component, the State Department is a Politcal Entity unto it's own when left unfettered.

But as I also eluded to, even in the best police departments, among the best of cops, money corrupts - as it did with some in this case. Another is the CIA "past time" of “Nation Building”, or of playing the “Grand Chess Game”. Since the early days of it’s inception, rogue elements of the CIA have participated with illicit activities which have included at times selling prohibitive weaponry to enemy states. Sometimes it was for money, but most often it was to “help things along” in the Grand Scheme of things.

Taking out Saddam put a lot of these plans “on hold” and upset the apple cart of some very powerful and influential people. Subsequently they are not going to forget George Bush - now or ever.

Even so, they are not finished yet. For as Saddam has been removed (as it was they who had planted him in the first place), so now their focus is at any cost not to let “democracy” succeed in the region - so, disruption at any cost.

If one thinks that insurgents are all teenage boys and uneducated and ruddy men with no backing or mission they are deceived out of their socks. The Bush administration - although not sharing this for public consumption, is well aware of the war that is on - and who the are fighting. That they - and we who are with them - are fighting a war not just on the outside, but also and continually with those within our own walls.

Dangerous times indeed.

Plame Game - Oh, Those "Lawyers Close to the Case!"

The Plame Game marches on!

This story over the weekend we read this from Time Magazine that one of their own, reporter Viveca Novak had agreed to testify at Fitzgerald's Fantasy Island about her conversations with Karl Rove's attorneys. This of course has re-kindled the fire in Chris Matthew's belly - howbeit the same cannot be said for his ratings.

But moreover, this news also sends that ever present group, the "Lawyers close to the case" sprinting to their cell phones because according to them this could only mean that it's " a sign that prosecutors are still exploring charges against the White House aide."

However, before we go into that, let's examine this group of "Lawyers close to the case", a group which first surfaced in the OJ Trial and have hung around every "trial of the century" since.

First, for veracity sake, we should examine their track record.

According to my modest scorecard of their performance during Fitzmas - on the whole, I would say that they were neither close, nor in many cases in the same neighborhood of their "22 indictment" predictions. This was evident as Fitzgerald only indicted Libby on basically a "he said/she said/they said", type of perjury/obstruction case, yet, and this is important - not on the leak - which for all intents and purposes is a dead issue.

Yet that doesn't stop the "lawyers close to the case" from finding the proverbial "Tempest in a Turnip", which is about what Novak's testimony probably will amount to. The one thing I can tell you for absolute certainty is that Fitizgerald is in no way looking at anything close to a "leak charge". If anything (and that's a big "IF"), additonal charges (if any) would be about the same as what was rendered at Libby. Anyone who is telling you something other than that is well, full of crap.

There is another angle though, one that you only have to ask yourself, "Where in the world is...?"

Oh, and by the way, I got that from a lawyer that I know (family member) who REALLY is close to the case.

CIA Prison Farce and the Right to Protect Ourselves

The biggest story in Europe today is that allegation that the CIA is secretly keeping prisoners (er, rather terrorists) in so called secret prison throughout the Europe.

Today we learn that Uber-liberal - Swiss Proscutor Dick Marty is on the case!

(Note: Warning Uber-Bias Der-Spiegel reporting):

"A bitter debate over torture has erupted in Europe. Washington is believed to have used EU countries as transit points for moving terrorism suspects to clandestine locations where they may have been tortured. The Council of Europe and other organizations are now demanding answers -- from the US and European countries who looked the other way.

Dick Marty, a liberal-minded Swiss citizen with a gray beard, glasses and a high forehead, knows what it's like to face a powerful opponent. As a prosecutor, he once successfully prosecuted the Mafia. His current adversary is just as intimidating and perhaps even more secretive than the Mafia. It's the United States Central Intelligence Agency, which, in an effort to back the White House, has responded to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks by kidnapping terrorism suspects and presumably abusing them in secret prisons. Now the Council of Europe has hired Marty to find out which European countries may have helped the US agents achieve their objectives.

Last Friday, the Swiss prosecutor made it clear that he has no compunctions about picking a fight with the world's sole remaining superpower. A self-confident Marty filed a request with the European Union's satellite center in Torrejón, Spain for satellite photographs from the past three years. He hopes to use the images to determine whether the alleged secret prisons did in fact exist, in countries like Poland and Romania. He also contacted the European aviation authority, Eurocontrol, asking for data on the flight movements of 31 aircraft suspected of having served as CIA shuttles for the transport of prisoners or abducted terrorism suspects."

This story began by no less than a "leak" to the Washington Post's Dana Priest who broke the story on November 2nd.

It's important to understand that in spite of the claims of Human Rights Watch and other left wing so-called watchdog organizations and much of the European leftist media, no crime has been found to be committed. It is not a crime to protect ourselves from these dogs.

The prisoners we are keeping aren't garden variety thugs, but the worst of the worst that Al-Qaeda has to offer.

Most of the accusations of so-called torture have been from ex captives who in between car bombings stop off to talk to reporters.

Now the EU says it will hold "voting rights" over the heads of any nation helping us out. Heh, Screw 'em. The EU is a bust anyway, and within a few years it will have been a "laughing stock" moment in history.

Europe had better wake the hell up and decide does it want to intergrate and coddle terrorist, or hunt them down, and put them away.

As assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Dan Fried said the other day after meeting with our Alies in Europe:

"We have a duty to protect our people and to do our best to protect others from terrorists," he said. "We are conducting this struggle in a manner consistent with our values and our international obligations and will continue to do that."

Amen Brother - Tell it! It's the reason we have what Europe hasn't since 9/11 - another attack on this soil. Whatever we're doing, we need to keep doing it.

RNC - Lead, Follow, or Get out of the Way - UPDATE

Michelle Malkin is getting threatening letters from the group "Mainstream Republicans", who are a George Soros funded or is it, was it? Here was my post on that story.

Michelle writes:

"The "Main Street" Republicans, who I criticized earlier this month for sabotaging conservative House efforts to open up ANWR for drilling, have sent a letter accusing me of "libelous statements." I've uploaded the letter from Danielle Graham, counsel for the Republican Main Street Partnership, here. (As you'll see from the letter, it appears there are no spell checkers on "Main Street.")

This baseless legal threat is useful because it helps further illuminate the relationship between George Soros, the Republican Main Street Partnership, and the Main Street Individual Fund--as well as the Center for Responsive Politics, which runs the website "Open Secrets."

As you'll recall, I linked to the Open Secrets website on Nov. 10 after a reader pointed to a $50,000 donation listed there from George Soros to the Main Street Individual Fund, 2004 Election Cycle. Forgive me for spelling out the painfully obvious, but anyone who clicked on the link that I provided saw that I was pointing to the Soros donation to the Main Street Individual Fund, which funds "Main Street" moderate Republicans, as well as to the Center's statement connecting MSIF with the Republican Main Street Partnership:

Michell goes on to correct the record. But there are still far more questions.

However, notice the venom shown when the left get's caught with their hand in the cookie jar? Such as with Memogate, when it wasn't what the memo said but "how" someone got them.

Which reminds me still don't have an explaination of what went on their from the Senior Senator from Massachusetts.

Yeah, like we ever got one for Mary Jo.
