No matter what happened in Haditha - Murtha's still a coward

I can't tolerate an idiot. On Friday when the Washington Post reported:

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Marines could face criminal charges, possibly including murder, for their involvement in the deaths of up to two dozen Iraqi civilians in Haditha last November, a defense official said on Friday.

A criminal probe by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which handles criminal inquiries involving Marines, has not been completed and no final decisions on charges have been made, said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.

The Los Angeles Times reported that investigators were expected to call for charges including murder, negligent homicide, dereliction of duty and filing a false report.

The investigation involves a November 19 incident in Haditha, about 140 miles northwest of Baghdad. The military has said 15 civilians were killed, while a senior Republican lawmaker last week put the number at about 24.

The Los Angeles Times reported that military investigators had concluded that a dozen Marines acted improperly in an incident in which U.S. troops, after a Marine was killed by a roadside bomb, wantonly killed unarmed civilians, including women and children, and then tried to cover up the incident.

Pentagon press secretary Eric Ruff declined to comment on the findings or possible charges. Ruff said he believed investigators were "toward the end" of their probe, but added: "I don't think there's anything that's imminent."

The defense official noted that criminal investigations into deaths could lead to murder charges, but was not more specific about possible charges."

Of course you remember that Rep. Murtha used the incident to rehash his cut and run philosophy USING the Marines as a talking point.

I'll say it again, if this story is true those responsible should fry. But the fact is that in spite of these "leaks", we don't know anything of substance yet.

Of course this story prompted this stupid response from the leftist Oliver Willis:

"Murtha Was Right, Sadly

I’m waiting on all those idiots to issue their apologies to him. Not holding my breath.....

First, no one needs to 'apologize' whether the story is true or not - the point that we are the right made was that Murtha USED the yet as unproved incident for political reasons. Fact is that no matter what the yet untermined facts bear out, nothing changes the facts about Murtha.

Thus he still profaned the Corps and still owns the dishonor (which was borne in 2005), of being a chicken shit cut and run coward.

Calling Mr. Fitzgerald?

As I told you about in this post yesterday as a source confirmed to me that the Justice Department has launched a probe into the NSA leak. Mr. Risen, you are in trouble - prepare your defense. I told you so.

The White House will be announcing the probe at about 12:30pm. My source tells me that this probe will most likely result in another prosecutor being assigned as of course Fitzgerald is still busy/dizzy on the Plame/Game No-Leak. Additionally, other probes into other recent leaks such as the CIA 'prisons'leak is in the works as well. As I said, this is the NEW Bush - on the attack - it's no more Mr. Nice Guy!

About time! Also covering Michelle Malkin

UPDATE II: Looks like I owe my source big time as yet another tip comes true as the Washington Post is on the target list as well for the CIA Prison leak.

Sniper Attack Las Vegas Music Festival

Police are hunting for the female companion of a lone gunman who killed at least 20 people, including two off-duty police officers, and injured more than 100 injured in Las Vegas on Sunday night.
Officers believe Marilou Danley, who they described as a middle-aged Asian woman, has more information on the man who attacked the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Sunday night before being killed.
That man was named by 9 News as Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old man from Mesquite, Nevada, who was known to local law enforcement.
Police were reported to be searching his house in the early hours of Monday morning, though there was no indication of a motive.
The Strip was completely shut down after the man, described by police as 'a local' opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay resort and casino.
